Me And My Favorite Follower Not Telling You Who It Is Tho is a catchphrase and exploitable first used in an image macro posted to Instagram in June 2021. The catchphrase began appearing on Twitter in the days following, becoming an exploitable image again on Instagram through a tweet screenshot.

Origin

On June 11th, 2021, Instagram^[1] account @tableton.wavv posted the first image using the catchphrase, using a top caption/bottom caption format. The meme (shown below) received 350 likes over the course of four months.

Spread

On June 14th, 2021, Twitter^[2] account @cgi_paul_walker, the Twitter account of the Instagram^[3] meme page @cgi_paul_walker, tweeted the catchphrase using an image of Future texting. The tweet only received one like, however, @cgi_paul_walker posted an edited version of a screenshot of their tweet to their Instagram^[4] page with a large following. This edited screenshot meme (shown below) received 366 likes over the course of four months.

Instagram^[5] account @rasterbahn_punished screenshotted @cgi_paul_walker tweet and layered on top their own image taken from a scene in the movie Uncut Gems. The meme (shown below) was posted on June 15th, 2021, and received only 20 likes. However, later that same day it was reposted by the larger Instagram^[6] account @this.and.a.blunt and received roughly 8,900 likes over the course of four months.

Sparked from @rasterbahn_punished's meme, the screenshot became an exploitable template across Instagram. The next Instagram^[7] page to use the template was @yugo.slavoj, who posted their meme on June 16th, 2021, and received 509 likes over the course of four months. Instagram^[8] account @gang_lain_on_ig also posted a meme using the catchphrase on June 18th, 2021, and received 227 likes.
