The Merrily We Fall Out Of Line Dance or Demisux Dance is a dance trend set to the song "I Wouldn't Mind" by He Is We in which the dancer rolls their hands at waist height and alternates raising each knee to the tune of the song. The specifics of the dance often change based on the dancer. The dance was popularized on TikTok in December 2023 and was started by TikToker @zaebriel, aka Xavier, that month, being further popularized by TikToker @jerseyyjoe. In January 2024, streamer and TikToker @demiswag, aka Demisux, further popularized the dance when her video performing it went viral.

On December 11th, 2023, TikToker[1] @zaebriel posted a video dancing to the song "I Wouldn't Mind" by He Is We, in which he rolls his hands around waist height and alternates raising each knee, garnering over 2.1 million views in a month (shown below). This is the earliest known example of the dance.

The dance gained viral spread on TikTok throughout December 2023. On December 15th, 2023, TikToker[2] @jerseyyjoe posted a video doing the dance that gained over 11 million views in a month (shown below, left). On December 30th, TikToker[3] @haydenchilders__ posted a video doing the dance with his daughter, garnering over 3.6 million views in five days (shown below, right).

On January 2nd, 2024, TikToker[4] @demiswag, also known as streamer Demisux, posted a video doing a version of the dance, garnering over 61.7 million views in two days (shown below).

The video's virality caused many on the platform to refer to the dance as the "Demisux dance" going forward. On January 3rd, TikToker[5] @clippingwl posted a clip of streamer Kai Cenat performing the dance, referring to it as the "Demisux dance," garnering over 1.4 million views in a day (shown below, left). On the same day, TikToker[6] @gabimfmoura posted a video doing the dance, garnering over 1.4 million views in a day (shown below, right).
