The post inspired artists and meme creators to share edits of the image to represent the stretchy powers of various popular characters, such as Luffy from One Piece and Mr Fantastic from the Fantastic Four.

Origin

On June 9th, 2024, X^[1] user @AntoScrujo posted an image of his hand stretched out away from him. The caption on the image read, "my arm so fucking long bro," with the post gathering over 55,000 likes in three days (seen below).

Spread

On June 10th, 2024, X^[2] user @ARRRRRRRRRRRGGG posted a stubby baby hand version of the image, gathering over 20,000 likes in two days (seen below, left). Also on June 10th, X^[3] user @MechMechMechBot posted a One Piece redraw of the image, showing Luffy's hand stretching out to grab his hat, gathering over 9,000 likes in two days (seen below, right).

On June 10th, X^[4] user @SuperNGuy wrote that the original post sounded like something Spring Man from ARMS would post, gathering over 3,000 likes in two days (seen below, left). On June 11th, 2024, X^[5] user @Parzival_jay joked that the post sounded like something Mr Fantastic, a superhero with stretchy powers would say. The post gathered over 15,000 likes in a day (seen below, right).
