The only anti-war film that really works.

It's one of my favorites of all time, but because of its premise, it's a film I watch rarely because... DAMN does it mess with you.
You don't just go "Yo, let's pop in Johnny Got His Gun and watch it!" it's one of those films you gotta be ready and sure you want to subject yourself to. It's a movie I love as much as I kinda fear.

WW1 soldier is fatally hit, survives but at the cost of ending up looking like the thing I drew, he's still perfectly conscious and so the whole movie is a massive "I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream" scenario.
Yup.
It's heavy.

Chances are that most people are familiar with the fact that Metallica, which bought the rights of the movie, based their song One on it, and actually used clips of the film for their music video of that song.
