Nine Inch Tails is a viral artwork of an original character from Sonic the Hedgehog named Myles Kitsune Prower. The artwork spawned numerous works of fanart of the character since 1999.
Origin
Sometime in 1999, furry artist Jay Axer drew artwork of his character Myles Kitsune Prower (shown below) wearing a Nine Inch Nails T-Shirt and JNCO jeans while holding both a gun and a katana. While the original post can no longer be found, it was reposted to several different websites such as Twitter, Tumblr, and Reddit.
