Not The Navy! is a quote from Spongebob Squarepants character Squidward Tentacles, when he reacts to Spongebob warning him that the Navy has been taken over by robots. This line has been used in many memes about the Navy, or in other contexts in which an entity is seemingly infiltrated or taken over.

Origin

The 19th episode of season 3 of Spongebob Squarepants, Krab Borg, first aired on March 29th, 2002. In this episode, Spongebob and Squidward become convinced that Mr Krabs is a robot in disguise. Spongebob makes a phone call to the Navy to warn them, only to hear the autoresponder and assume that robots are in control of the navy.

Squidward: – I'll evacuate the customers, you call the Navy!
SpongeBob: – [runs over to the phone] Hello, operator? Get me the Navy!
Operator: – Hello, you've reached the Navy's automated phone service.
SpongeBob: – Squidward, the robots are running the Navy!
Squiward: – Not the Navy!
