Oh No, The Bra Fell Off refers to an image of a bra on the floor in front of the character Mafuyu Kirisu's feet from season one episode nine of the anime series We Never Learn, or Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai! in Japan. The episode premiered in June 2019 and became the subject of image macros that month, often used as a reaction image alongside jokes about people getting turned on.

Origin

On June 1st, 2019, season one episode nine of Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai! titled "The Star of Ultimate Love and the Name of X, Part 1," aired in Japan.^[1][2] In one scene, the character Mafuyu Kirisu's bra is undone by Nariyuki Yuiga, wearing a costume, and falls off. It then falls to her feet and she says, "Oh no, the bra fell off" (shown below).

That day, Redditor^[3] Kranos-Krotar and iFunny^[4] user Maruga posted an image macro to /r/animemes and iFunny using a screenshot of the bra at her feet, captioned, "Nobody: / Girls in hentai," gaining over 1,900 upvotes on the former and 20 smiles on the latter in three years (shown below).

On November 25th, 2019, Instagram^[5] user edgy.edgy.edgy posted an image macros using the screenshot captioned, "girls when I show them my yu-gi-oh card collection" (shown below). The meme was reposted to Facebook^[6] page Anime Diet on December 10th, gaining over 1,300 reactions in just over two years.

On December 13th, Redditor kapilsn1 posted an image macro to /r/memes^[7] making a stepbro joke, gaining over 11,000 upvotes in just over two years (shown below, left). It was reposted to Instagram^[8] by jokezar that day, gaining over 91,000 likes in the same span of time. On June 1st, 2020, Redditor Rexi_meme posted a version of the meme to /r/prequelmemes^[9] referencing the I Don't Like Sand meme, gaining over 32,900 upvotes in two years (shown below, right).

On July 3rd, Redditor polotrav posted a version of the meme to /r/dankmemes,^[10] gaining over 19,600 upvotes in roughly two years (shown below).

On September 15th, Instagram^[11] user ftb posted an image macro using the image captioned, "When he's not taking the hint so you have to be extremely obvious," gaining over 67,000 likes in six months (shown below, left). On December 31st, Facebook^[12] page Thom yorke moans better than my gf except I don't have a gf posted a meme using the image referencing Lana Del Rey, gaining over 7,100 reactions and 1,400 shares in three months (shown below, right). On February 13th, 2022, the former meme was reposted to /r/memes,^[13] gaining over 37,000 upvotes in a month.
