Pancho Friday Aa, also known as Bhenchod Friday Hai or Friday Lord, is a viral video featuring a Sikh man driving while listening to Diljit Dosanjh's song "Putt Jat Da." In the clip he says, "Pancho Friday aa, Crown Royale, cocaine hookah naal sexu, fudiyaan padooo," which loosely translates to, "[Motherfucker] it's Friday, Crown Royale, going to do cocaine, hookah, [beat the pussy up]!" The video is often reposted by Indian and Desi internet users to celebrate the coming of the weekend. The identity of the man in the video is currently unknown.
Origin
On October 27th, 2018, Speed Records YouTube[1] account posted the official YouTube video for Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh's hit song "Putt Jat Da." The video gathered over 100 million views and over a million likes in nearly four years (seen below).
On April 28th, 2019, Instagram[2] page @punjabicentral.official posted a screen-recorded video of a Sardar driving while listening and singing along to the aforementioned track. The man goes on to deliver an expletive-laden dialogue celebrating it being Friday and announcing his plans to have fun this weekend. The post has since gathered over 31,000 views in over three years (shown below).
While the identity of the man in the video is currently unknown, internet users have speculated that he may be a trucker from Canada, as deduced by what can be seen from the inside of his vehicle.
Spread
The video spread in the following years and was reposted on YouTube[3] by SM and JM TV on April 19th, 2020. The video is a screen-recording of the aforementioned Instagram post, as denoted by the visible AssistiveTouch virtual iPhone home screen button and the audio crack heard at "crown royale." The repost gathered over 100,000 views and over 4,000 likes in two years (seen below).
By 2021, the same video started being posted on prominent meme pages every Friday. One Instagram[4] account that can be credited for popularizing the meme is @emoboisofindia, which posts the meme every Friday. The first post by the account in the series of the meme being reposted every Friday was made on March 5th, 2021. The post has over 6,000 likes as of August 2022 (shown below)
On July 23rd, 2021, Twitter[5] account @bcfridayguy began posting the viral clip every Friday as well. The first post in the series gathered approximately 200 likes and 50 retweets in three years.

The song and the video quickly became associated with each other, with Diljit Dosanjh making a reference to the iconic video at a concert in Gurugram, India on April 17th, 2022. A video of him saying "Aaj Friday hai, Friday," was uploaded to YouTube[6] on April 22nd, 2022, with the caption "Diljit Dosanjh react to Pe*cho Friday Aa Meme😂🔞 at Concert." The video gathered over a million views and over 30,000 likes in approximately three months.
