Rachel Wilson, known as Freckled Zelda, is an American singer, cosplayer and social media influencer who started as a contestant on America's Got Talent. Her persona is based on the video game character Zelda with a "fairy girl" and "elf girl" flare. Freckled Zelda grew a large following on TikTok and Instagram in the 2020s on her account @thefreckledzelda. Her content later pivoted to religious Christian content. In 2024, Freckled Zelda faced a controversy when she was accused of grooming, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism and stealing her ex's artwork. Freckled Zelda denied the allegations.

Freckled Zelda started posting to the internet on May 10th, 2018, when she posted her first Instagram[2] video, gaining over 9,200 views in six years. Going into the 2020s, Freckled Zelda established herself as a cosplayer, centering on the video game character Zelda. She's seen in many of her early posts playing the ocarina.[3]
On March 9th, 2020, Freckled Zelda posted her first, still-accessible TikTok,[4] showing her playing an ocarina, receiving over 54,500 plays and 3,300 likes in four years (shown below, left).

On July 26th, 2022, episode 1708 America's Got Talent (part of season 17) aired on television.[1][6] Freckled Zelda was a contestant on the show and eventually made it to the season's semifinals. The clip was posted to the YouTube[7] channel Talent Recap, gaining over 7 million views in two years (shown below).
Controversy
The Freckled Zelda Controversy and Freckled Zelda Screenshots refers to a series of allegations levied against Freckled Zelda (aka Rachel Wilson) that accused her of alleged grooming, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism and stealing her ex's artwork. The accusations were levied by a YouTuber and TikToker named Maddy Maddy (@ilovebogmummies) who (along with a person named Ami) leaked screenshots from a group chat in which Freckled Zelda was purportedly sending inappropriate messages to a 15-year-old. The controversy surfaced in early 2024. Eventually, Freckled Zelda responded to the allegations and denied them, alleging that Maddy fabricated their evidence. For instance, Freckled Zelda showed that the two blurred photos (said to be Freckled Zelda's nudes) were just cosplay photos that Maddy misrepresented.
