The video was reposted by X^[7] user @DiabolicalSpuds on October 14th, 2023, who captioned it, "This incredibly sincere white guy trying Indian food for the very first time and having his mind blown is so wholesome," gaining roughly 31.7 million views and 247,500 likes in two days (shown below).

The tweet inspired mass discourse via replies and quote retweets in the days that followed.
