Zentreya is a popular Vtuber who has been active on Twitch since 2017. She stands out from other streamers by the use of a speech-to-text-to-speech device to communicate with her audience.

Online History

Zentreya started her streaming career as a silent Vtuber on the platform Twitch^[1] on November 30th, 2017, using an avatar of a white-haired woman in a military uniform (see below). Her content mainly consists of video game streams, roleplaying sessions, and virtual reality streams. She has stated on several occasions that her choice of not directly speaking to the audience during her streams stems from a desire of anonymity.

On August 6th, 2020, Zentreya used her text-to-speech software^[2] (see video below, left) for the first time, a feature that would become iconic of her streams. Later that year, on October 1st, she revealed her new Vtubing model, a red-haired dragon girl. On November 24th, she made her official re-debut, as one of the founding members of the company VShojo (see video below, right).

Popularity

Zentreya remains to this day one of the most popular members of VShojo, with over 534,000 followers on Twitch, as well as over 398,000 on her official YouTube channel^[3], as of late 2024.
