Polaner All Fruit Commercial.

About

Polaner All Fruit Commercial refers to a 1989 commercial of fruit spread product Polaner All Fruit. After a clip of Family Guy parody of the commercial went viral on iFunny in January 2021, GIF captions and other memes based on it gained popularity on the app in early March 2021.

Origin

In 1989, the American brand of fruit preserves and condiments Polaner launched its "Don't dare call it jelly" advertisement campaign in which several refined individuals refer to Polaner's product as Polaner All Fruit, after which another person refers to it as jelly much to everyone's shock and disgust (original commercial shown below).[1]

- Please pass the All Fruit.
- Pass the Polaner All Fruit.
- Pass the Polaner All Fruit.
- Would you please pass the jelly?

On November 19th, 2017, episode seven "Petey IV" of season 16 of the animated series Family Guy premiered.[2] In the episode, the 1989 Polaner All Fruit is parodied, with Peter Griffin then explaining the reference "for Family Guy fans under 40" (shown below). On January 13th, 2021, iFunny[3] user Electivire posted the clip, with the post gaining over 66,400 smiles in two months and being featured on the app.
