About

Polícial E-Girl, also known as E-Girl Police, refers to a viral video of an Indonesian policewoman named Putri Cikita who asks a schoolboy named Fikri if he's been drinking alcohol. She then comes closer to him in a provocative way to sniff his mouth / breath. The video was used in memes starting in late 2021 on platforms like YouTube and iFunny within Brazilian and Portuguese meme circles.

Origin

On August 10th, 2019, the official YouTube^[1] page of the TV network Trans7 uploaded a clip from one of its shows titled "THE POLICE." At the 29:50 mark of the video, two police officers had detained a group of young boys who were caught doing a wild motorcycle race on the public road. The boys collectively outed one of them named Fikri who seemed to be drunk. The policewoman named Putri Cikita questioned the boy about his age, name and blood alcohol level. She eventually leaned in to sniff the boy's mouth, making sure. Over the course of two years, the video gained roughly 4.9 million views (shown below).

Boy: No I don't

The video received usage in memes starting in late 2021 on YouTube. For instance, on November 4th, 2021, the YouTube^[2] channel Luizinho memes posted a video that turned the clip into a Short, receiving roughly 257,800 views over the course of two months (shown below, left). On December 26th, 2021, YouTuber^[3] Dazai W. posted a short edit that added the song "Por Supuesto" by Marina Sena to the clip, earning roughly 2.2 million views in one month (shown below, right).

Going into 2022, the video spread to iFunny. On January 10th, 2022, iFunnyer^[4] Creepyshow posted a GIF Caption that used the clip, earning roughly 1,400 smiles in three weeks (shown below).

On January 11th, 2022, YouTuber^[5] kooshy uploaded a video that explained who the policewoman in the video actually, entirely spoken in Portuguese. The video received more than 328,000 views in two weeks (shown below).
