About
Sam Hyde's "I'm Coming to Kill You. No In Real Life" refers to a viral video of comedian Sam Hyde, acting as his boxing alter ego The Candyman, calling out influencer and Twitch streamer Hasan "HasanAbi" Piker during an interview by saying that he's coming to kill him at his Los Angeles home. In late August 2022, an image of Hyde shouting his joke threat gained virality as source material for memes in which he was photoshopped as various characters.

[Sam Hyde] – You know that Hasan Piker! I'm coming to kill you! In Los Angeles, at your house!
[Announcer] – Or in the ring?
[Sam Hyde] – No, in real life. I'm going to stalk him, and become obsessed with him, and wear his makeup, and his dresses, and use his skin as a coat! Like the ancient Irish did!
Later that day, Twitter[2] user @WomanDefiner tweeted Sam Hyde's joke threat against Piker, with the tweet gaining over 1,200 retweets and 20,100 likes in three days.
HasanAbi's Comment
On the same day, HasanAbi mentioned Sam Hyde's threat after a user in his Twitch[3] chat sent it to him without explicitly responding to it.
If you see a mentally ill nazi on the internet be like, "I'm gonna kill Hasan Piker! I'm gonna come to his house and murder him," and you go, "Oh, this is some information that he should watch and address," then, honestly, just don't post!
Spread
In the following days, the threat inspired various memes that referenced it in different ways. For example, on August 27th, 2022, Twitter[4] user @3Dv2D posted a video caption meme referencing Hyde's callout that gained over 1,400 retweets and 12,600 likes in three days (shown below). On August 28th, Twitter[5] user @ZeroTwoMexicana posted a three-panel meme about Hasan's reaction to Hyde's threat, which gained over 4,100 retweets and 40,700 likes in two days.
