Sharpness 5 Pickaxe is allegedly the title of a shock video uploaded to Liveleak prior to 2021 showing a woman getting killed by two men, one with a pickaxe. Interest in the alleged video increased in late 2021 after a meme referencing it went viral on TikTok, which included screenshots from two separate shock videos, one showing a woman who just gouged out a dog's eyes and another showing a similar-looking woman on the ground about to be hurt by two men, implying they are doing so as an act of revenge for killing the dog. A singular shock video titled "sharpness 5 pickaxe" does not appear to exist and no pickaxes are used in either video, however a video of a similar looking woman being killed with an axe does exist, which may be the real "sharpness 5 pickaxe." The title is a reference to a pickaxe upgrade in Minecraft.

Origin

On December 22nd, 2021, TikToker^[1] @yogodytudechiapas posted a video showing a screenshot of a woman in short shorts and a censored face standing over a dog, appearing as if she's stabbing it with a stick on top and a trollge face on the bottom. The trollge face smiles as the image changes to one of two men approaching what appears to be the same woman, who is now on the ground hurt, implying they are attacking her for killing the dog. The video gained over 5.7 million views in five days.

The source video of the first image is a viral shock video of a woman allegedly named Marii Benítez in Argentina who stabs and gouges the eyes out of a dog, which went viral on Facebook^[3] (NSFW) in early 2021. An upload of the second video is available in an article manausatual.com^[2] (NSFW) which alleges that the woman in the video went home drunk and beat her mother, which inspired two men in a "criminal faction" to beat her as punishment. They do not appear to kill her in the video. It is unconfirmed if this is the same woman.

A separate shock video (not shown in the TikTok meme) showing a woman in similar clothes being killed with an axe^[5] (NSFW) may be the actual "sharpness 5 pickaxe" video and is often linked in reference to it, although this is unconfirmed.

Discussion about the video increased after the meme referencing it went viral on TikTok as people looked for the link and discussed it. On December 24th, Redditor Low-Sheepherder-3915 posted to /r/gorexxx^[4] asking for the video "sharpness 5 pickaxe," gaining over 80 upvotes in three days. On December 25th, TikToker^[6] @sorrings_ posted a video referencing the viral TikTok (shown below).
