She Lived She Served Cunt Then She Died is a catchphrase that uses the LGBTQ+ slang term "Serving Cunt" and predominantly labels a character who's imagined to have served so much cunt that she died. The phrase was first used in a viral Tumblr post from 2021 that was screenshotted, reposted and exploited across meme-sharing platforms like Twitter and Instagram.
Origin
On May 4th, 2021, Tumblr[1] user robloxmilf posted an image of Fairy Godmother from the Shrek movie franchise, captioning it, "she lived she served cunt then she died." Over the course of two years, the post received roughly 30,500 notes (shown below).
Spread
Soon after the Tumblr[1] post went viral, it was screenshotted and reposted to other platforms, such as in a post uploaded by Instagram[2] user @meme_girls on May 5th, 2021, earning roughly 12,200 likes in two years. On May 8th, 2021, Instagram[3] user @this.and.a.blunt posted the first-known variant of the meme, adding a photo of singer Sky Ferraria and gaining roughly 4,800 likes in two years (shown below, left). On May 15th, Twitter[4] user @TomZohar used the phrase to caption images of actress Carrigan Crittenden in the 1995 movie Casper,[5] earning roughly 4,000 likes in two years (shown below, right).
Continuing into 2022 and 2023, the catchphrase was used for various viral memes posted across social media platforms. For instance, on March 22nd, 2023, Twitter[6] user @forgot2eat paired the phrase with an image of the alien creature named Jean Jacket from the 2022 movie Nope,[7] earning roughly 72,300 likes in two days (shown below).
