Part of a series on YouTube Poop / YTP. [View Related Entries]

About

Shlock is an infamous YouTube Poop featuring an edited version of Sherlock Holmes (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) from the British television show Sherlock. The theme of this YTP revolves around a parallel universe version of the show where Sherlock, or Shlock, has an incredibly large penis and his goal is to have sex with his sidekick Watson, or Watsoon (played by Martin Freeman).

Origin

The concept for Shlock was created by YouTuber[1] Numberer1, and the original edited version of the show was uploaded to his YouTube channel on January 18th, 2017, under the title, “[YTP] Shlock.” The first episode (featured below) consists of an edited version of the pilot to create the theme of Shlock and his desire to have sex with Watson. Since it was uploaded, the video has been viewed over 373,000 times and liked over 12,000 times.

Spread

After the first video was uploaded, several other episodes were subsequently released on Numberer1’s channel. “Shlock Too” was released on February 10th, 2017, roughly a month after the first video was published on his YouTube,[2] consisting of additional content from later episodes in Sherlock. This video (seen below) received over 200,000 views and nearly 7,000 likes.

On March 16th, 2017, an extended version of the first three episodes was posted to the YouTube[3] channel, which featured a compilation of the Shlock universe with scenes from the first season of the TV series. Since then, the video (shown below) has garnered over 2.2 million views and almost 100,000 likes.

“Shlock: Season 2” was uploaded by Numberer1 to YouTube[4] on August 28th, 2017, combining Shlock episodes 4-6 into one compilation. Though the video was taken down a number of times due to DMCA issues with the Shlock 5 theme song, this season (seen below) has been viewed over 1 million times and liked another 41,000 times.

As of April 2020, Numberer1’s YouTube[5] channel has over 214,000 subscribers, 71.8 million total views and nine videos in the Shlock series. Since these videos were published, the meme has spread elsewhere online, appearing on a number of websites over the years from other users and creators. On iFunny,[6] user TheScorpionofSunnyVale uploaded a video meme with a clip from the Shlock YTP series on February 17th, 2018, (shown below) and received nine likes.

The guy who made this is actually an absolute master of YTPs. The good, high-quality and genuinely funny kind that aren't just looping the same sound 600 times and turning the volume up to 2 billion.

I recommend his Zootopia parody "Zoodystopia".
