Skeletor Unzips Pants or Sigh Zip is a reaction image of Skeletor sighing then looking down and unzipping his pants. As a meme, the image is most often attached to other pictures of objects that resemble something sexual. It was first popularized in 2022 and gained viral spread over the following years.

Origin

On September 13th, 2022, MemeDroid^[1] user EggShen2 posted an image macro consisting of an image of a cactus that somewhat resembles a vagina, with two images of Skeletor on the bottom suggesting he's unzipping his pants to have sex with the cactus, garnering over 790 votes in two years (shown below). This is the earliest known example of the meme.

Spread

The meme gained viral spread over the following days. It was reposted by 9GAG^[2] user mangaramm on September 14th, 2022, garnering over 130 upvotes in two years. On September 15th, the meme was included in a list on eBaum's World^[3] of "47 Super Spicy Memes for Your Thirsty Thursday," garnering over 100,000 views in two years.

On January 26th, 2023, a new version of the meme was posted to /r/memes^[4] that garnered over 6,000 upvotes in a year (shown below).

On January 17th, 2024, the UpBeat He-Man Facebook^[5] page posted a version of the meme that gained over 1,000 reactions and 240 shares in two months (shown below, left). On February 29th, the 80's Toons Facebook^[6] page shared a meme that gained over 1,900 reactions and 740 shares in a week (shown below, right).
