On July 25th, 2022, TikToker^[1] and chiropractor @dr.remix posted a video titled, "So your neck hurts?" The video showed the specialist singing a song set to the tune of "Savage" by Megan Thee Stallion, and showing people how to crack their neck when it hurts. The words "neck hurts" were taken to sound like the N-word by many viewers. The video gathered over 34 million views and 1.3 million likes in three years.

On August 19th, 2022, TikToker^[3] @cjdailydose_ posted a TikTok Duet where he, a Black man, briefly appeared on screen when @dr.remix said "neck hurts." The video gathered over 200,000 plays and 80,000 likes in three years.

On October 8th, 2022, TikToker^[2] @dr.remix posted a video responding to people jokingly accusing him of saying the N-word, playing the Kanye and Jay Song "Ni**as In Paris," and repeating the phrase "So your neck hurts," clearly, with an emphasis on the word "neck." The video gathered over 900,000 likes in three years.

On March 9th, 2025, TikToker^[4] @not_spife made a post referencing several N-word Soundalike memes, including So Your Neck Hurts, 3 Netherite Ingots and My First Jar of Pickles. The post gathered over 2 million plays and 100,000 likes in two months.
