Sonic Dirty Feet, also known as Sonic's Drty Socks Sonic Foot Fetishism Fan Arts, refers to a series of foot fetishism fan art depictions and memes of the Sonic The Hedgehog character showing his exposed feet outside his shoes. The illustrations circulated the internet since as early as 2011, but a specific fan art of Sonic with his shoes off and showing his dirty feet gained viral attention in December 2020 on Twitter / X, Reddit, DeviantArt and TikTok.

Origin

On December 17th, 2011, Weasily^[1] user RipRoarRex created one of the earliest foo fetishism illustrations featuring Sonic The Hedgehog, titled "Sonic Boom." The image gained more than 4,400 views and 10 favorites since it was uploaded on May 25th, 2016.

On December 23rd, 2020, Furaffinity^[2] artist FeetyMcFoot uploaded a 3D fan art of the videogame character titled "Sonic's dirty socks," which features Sonic lying down with his shoes off while showing his dirty socks (seen below). The image garnered over 23,000 views and 374 favorites in five years.

In the next few years, fan art of the character drawn specifically under the foot fetishism genre grew popular on X, Reddit and Deviant Art.

For instance, on June 23rd, 2024, Deviant Art^[3] user @Az12lol posted an illustration titled "Sonic Showing His Feet," which received roughly 19,000 views and 159 favorites in four months.

On December 18th, 2024, TikTok^[4] user @giuliopassur1 posted a video in which he printed "Sonic's dirty socks" fan art and showed it to a stranger (seen below), amassing over 7 million plays and 885,000 likes in five months.
