About

Meet and Fuck refers to a series of adult flash games that have become notorious online for their lack of quality, cringeworthy comments, and stealing of art from popular visual novels.

Online Relevance

As of April 2015 the series on Newgrounds has a total of nearly 195 million page views, with the single most viewed game, "Meet'N'Fuck Detective RPG[2]," having over 22 million views. On April 22, 2010 an Urban Dictionary entry was made for the series.[3] On Tumblr there are several blogs dedicated to showcasing comments/reviews of the series, typically those of a cringeworthy or humorous manner.[4][5] Following the original game's release on September 24, 2008, YouTuber, LazyPillow uploaded a video entitled RWD: MEET'N'FUCK as a parody of the series (shown below).

On October 12, 2010 YouTuber powerth96 uploaded the song featured during the sex scenes of many of the games in the series (shown below). As of June 2015 the video has nearly 60,000 views. The song is entitled "Vse v ogon – Pesnya Tsarevni" by the band Hi-Fi.[6]

Criticism

Over the course of it's lifespan, the series has been criticized by various people for stealing artwork from more popular visual novels and passing it off as original content. One of the earlier examples of this comes from Newgrounds user IAmTheSpoon who started a thread on November 24, 2009 in which he states that he believes that the game series uses stolen artwork. Soon afterwords others in the thread began to defend the series saying that IAmTheSpoon had no proof, and that he should just, "blow your [whistle]. that's what it's there for."[9] On October 23, 2011 in a thread about the series on HongFire, user boppy stated that he found it humorous that the game stole artwork and passed it off as original.[10] Later that same day fellow user Keiji Maeda replied to user Laggardy whom added that he came to a similar conclusion after doing some research into the matter. Laggardy's original post has since been deleted[11] In a E-hentai Galleries comment section about the game Meet 'n' Fuck – Lavindor Kingdom, several user pointed out similar points about the series.[12] There are various other examples across forums and sites that discuss related subjects, such as Danbooru[13] and Tumblr.
