About

The Fact This Was Found In the Mario 64 Source Code Is Unsettling is a copypasta popularized on Twitter in August 2023 where users show an image of something scary, funny or shocking and write, "The fact this was actually found in the Mario 64 Source code Is fucking unsettling." The meme is based on a viral tweet posted that month where a user shared an image of a man in a Mario costume posing with Miyamoto, whose head transforms into a monster, falsely claiming it was found in the source code for Super Mario 64.
