About

The Simpsons Sopranos Poster or The Simpsons Black and White Stare, also known as The Simpranos, refers to a reaction image based on a promotional poster for The Simpsons inspired by The Sopranos, showing the characters in black and white with their arms crossed, staring forward with stern looks on their faces. The poster was purportedly sold by Scorpio Posters as early as 2001.

In February 2026, the poster's artwork was popularized on sites including X / Twitter, TikTok and Reddit as the subject of image macro memes. As a meme, the artwork is shared alongside captions about the "type of look" certain people give you when you do something they disagree with. On TikTok, the meme was associated with posts about chitlins, a delicacy in the American South.

Origin

In 2001, a poster was made for The Simpsons that is based on promotional artwork for The Sopranos.
