Variations of the meme show a thumbs-up emoji, the word "TRUE" or the word "FALSE" on the bottom. The meme was first uploaded to Twitter in November 2021, spreading over the following months.

Origin

On November 13th, 2021, Twitter^[1] user @GranTorinoDSA posted a meme in response to a clip of Donald Trump saying "We Do A Little Trolling" showing Trump over a QAnon logo captioned, "This post was fact checked by real American patriots" and a thumbs-up Emoji. The post gained over 160 likes in six months (shown below).

On November 17th, 2021, the meme was reposted to Instagram^[2] by copcellectuals. On December 23rd, Instagram^[3] user sonny_librarian posted a version replacing the thumbs-up emoji with a green logo reading "TRUE," gaining over 2,400 likes in five months (shown below).

On January 2nd, 2022, Instagram^[4] user gang_nomasks_on.ig posted a meme where the "TRUE" image is placed over a lie about Al Gore, gaining over 130 likes in four months (shown below, left). On January 30th, Instagram user thenextawk^[5] posted a version replacing "TRUE" with "FALSE," gaining over 700 likes in a similar span of time (shown below, right).
