After 2021, the catchphrase came to be used in memes with the word Discord switched out for other words, as well as the image. A notable variation of the meme uses the phrasing, "Be prepared to die behind it."

On June 15th, 2021, Twitter^[1] user @here4themoneyy posted a tweet that read, "This Discord Shit Get Serious, Be Ready To Die Behind It." The post gathered just eight likes and four bookmarks in two years (seen below).

The tweet is part of a larger meme trend in which photos of NBA Youngboy are placed alongside joke tweets about Discord users being tough and dangerous.
