About
Too Many Sweats or This Is Why I Quit, Too Many Sweats is a catchphrase and copypasta used to claim that the poster has quit doing something, typically playing a video game, because there are too many "sweats" who play the game. In this context, "sweat" is a slang term used to describe someone as a try-hard, implying they have skills in the game or thing they're doing, but try too hard and make it unenjoyable for others. The term was popularized online throughout 2023 and 2024 and became notably prevalent as a spam comment and copypasta on X / Twitter and TikTok in mid-2024. The phrase "too many sweats" is frequently used to describe Fortnite players who are too good at the building mechanic of the game.
