TV Man and TV Woman are a species of characters from the Skibidi Toilet web series depicted as men and women with televisions for heads that can display emotions via emoticons on their screens. TV Men first made cameo appearances in episodes 34 through 38, released in June 2023, making a more prominent appearance in episode 39. TV Woman first appeared in July's episode 49. Online, both characters have inspired fan art and memes.

Origin

TV Man

On June 3rd, 2023, DaFuq!?Boom! uploaded episode 34 of Skibidi Toilet, garnering over 123 million views in a month (shown below, left). The video marks the first appearance of the TV men in hidden cameos throughout the video. The next four episodes also featured hidden TV men (episode 38 shown below, right).

On June 15th, DaFuq!?Boom! uploaded episode 39 of Skibidi Toilet to YouTube,^[1] garnering over 131 million views in a month (shown below). The episode features the TV Man prominently and is the official debut of the character.

TV Woman

On July 15th, 2023, DaFuq!?Boom! uploaded episode 49 of Skibidi Toilet to YouTube,^[2] garnering over 26 million views in two days (shown below). The episode introduces the TV Woman character, a female variant of the TV men.

Spread

TV men became the subject of fan art, memes and other fan content following their premiere in June 2023. For example, on June 24th and 25th, DeviantArt^[3][4] users fintuboi93 and SproutedCat posted artwork of the TV Man, garnering over 1,500 views each in three weeks (shown below, left and right).

Following TV Woman's premiere on July 15th, 2023, fan art and content depicting her became popularized online. That day, TikToker^[5] @unknown_..guy posted a fancam video of TV woman, garnering over 649,000 views in two days (shown below).

That day, July 15th, Twitter^[6] user @gam_472 posted a piece of artwork that gained over 800 likes in two days. Later that day, DeviantArt^[7] user sindioart then posted a piece of TV Woman fan art that gained over 10,000 views and 130 favorites in two days (shown below).
