About

We Just Got 8 Free Pizzas is a series of memes, including video edits, based on a scene from the sitcom TV show The Middle in which the character Frankie Heck (played by actress Patricia Heaton) walks into the room with eight pizzas and announces, "We just got eight free pizzas," followed by Brick Heck (Atticus Shaffer) dancing and laughing in celebration. The scene originates from 2017's season 8, episode 22 and became the subject of video edits on TikTok in mid-March 2025. The meme takes inspiration from SueTok memes, which were popularized on TikTok in January 2025. Some versions of the meme combine it with references to the "Frank Heffley schizophrenia" meme.

Origin

On May 9th, 2017, season 8, episode 22 of The Middle, titled "The Final Final," aired.[1] In the episode, the wrong address number is put on the Heck family's house, which ends up benefiting them in a variety of ways. In one scene, the family is sent eight free pizzas. Frankie Heck comes into the room with the eight pizzas and announces, "We just got eight free pizzas," and her son Brick celebrates.[2]

SueTok

SueTok, also referred to as Sue Heck Lobotomy Core or I Won a Contest, is a viral series of extremely edited, filtered and bass-boosted videos on TikTok that revolve around the character Sue Heck (played by actress Eden Sher) who's the daughter in the American sitcom The Middle. A majority of the content on SueTok is a clip from the 16th episode of season 2, titled "Hecks on a Plane," in which Sue is seen coming home after winning a contest, followed by disdain from her family. She screams, "Oh my god! I won a contest!" in the clip. SueTok aesthetics can be attributed to YouTube Poops or the 2020s aesthetics of lobotomy and brainrot content. Its visuals could also be described as deep-fried or moldy with added CapCut effects and filters like those used by Cookie King or Jeremiah Springfield. The SueTok trend started in early 2025.
