We're Going To Read The Little Dolphin Who Cried is a scene that has been parodied since 2010 with YouTube Poop style. The dolphin sound is replaced by another sound, audio or song. This YouTube Poop fad is similiar to Hey Plankton, can our first song go like this?.

Origin

The scene is originated from the 18th episode in season 2 from the Nickelodeon series The Fairly OddParents titled Deja Vu. The scene is set up with Timmy's parents explaining why they must go.

Transcript

Mom: We are off to read bedtime stories to underprivileged, confused dolphins!

Dad: We're gonna read "The Little Dolphin Who Cried…" [dolphin cry]!

Mom: Have fun, you two!

The first parody was uploaded on the January 23, 2010 by YouTube user scarybitchboy (below left). YouTube users started to mimicking the style and they sometimes entitle their videos with the phrasal template The Little Dolphin Who Cried X. The titles of the video parody fad are also written in emoticons. The emoticons are sometimes having the Surprise emoticon ( O_O ). In the description or in the tags there is written the term mintbusters for these videos.
The first video to include the term and emoticon was uploaded by YouTube user Charquirtlsaur (seen below right).



A Spanish version of the videos can be found on YouTube with the title "El Pequeño Delfin que hacía…", with search results returning over 4,000 videos.
