Who Got That One Clip?, also written Who Got That One Video? and Who Got That One Vid?, is an engagement bait format used on social media, primarily on X / Twitter, that involves requesting others to share a video about a specific fandom without specifying the exact video. The format therefore serves others to reply to posts and quote them with various clips they would consider to be "that one."
Origin
Prior to the virality of the trend in January 2024, the format saw occasional use on X / Twitter starting in June 2023. The earliest discovered example of the phrasal format "Who got that one clip" being used online to prompt users to share an unspecified clip fitting a certain requirement is a January 30th, 2023, post by X[1] user @wydccalamity (shown below).
On January 15th, 2024, X[2] user @yuz_mynerva0x13 posted a Drakenguard meme, writing, "who got that one Drakenguard / Nier vid." (shown below).
The post (shown below) received over 780 reposts and quotes and 2,500 likes in one week. More notably, quote posts to this, as well as to other similar "who got that one clip" posts, went viral as users shared popular video memes related to it. For example, on January 16th, 2024, X[3] user @PeacefulSleep quoted a post with a meme that garnered over 1,000 reposts and 4,300 likes in one week (shown below).

In mid-January 2024, the engagement format achieved viral popularity on X / Twitter, as users made "who got that one clip" posts about various fandoms. On January 11th, 2024, X[4] user @kissinglesson made a post prompting others to share Adventure Time clips that received over 2,200 reposts and quote posts, 7,700 likes and 43.8 million views in two weeks (shown below).
On January 15th, 2024, X[5] user @SuperWiiBros08 made a request to share Vinesauce videos that received over 1,000 reposts and 3,800 likes in one week (shown below, left). On January 19th, X[6] user @chxrrystan made a post about Bob's Burgers that gained over 1,100 reposts and 2,000 likes in four days (shown below, right).
In the following days, social media accounts for various video games joined in on the trend. For example, on January 16th, 2024, the X[7] social media account for VALORANT made an engagement bait post within the format that gained over 240 reposts and 2,700 likes in one week.
