Wocky Slush refers to a viral video posted to TikTok in which a man shows off a drink he's created, possibly from Sprite and cough syrup, when another man says "Wocky Slush" in a strange voice that has been compared to the SpongeBob SquarePants character Squilliam Fancyson. The video has been parodied in photoshops and video remixes.

Origin

On December 1st, 2020, TikTok user juvenilextc posted a video in which he was showing off a drink he'd created when another user says "Wocky Slush!" in the background. The video has gained over 250,000 likes (shown below).

Spread

The video began to inspire parodies over the following days. On YouTube, several videos were made which compared the man who says "Wocky Slush" to Squilliam Fancyson from SpongeBob SquarePants. For example, on December 2nd, 2020, YouTuber Miilo2 posted a video in which Squilliam says the phrase, gaining over 18,000 views (shown below, left). User SquillDX posted another video featuring Squilliam saying the line, gaining over 5,300 views (shown below). On December 4th, Urban Dictionary user Grimester#2 posted a definition for the phrase,^[1] calling it "One of Squilliam Fancyson's main catchphrases (Lean induced) → Slushy variant."

Other internet users made photoshops based off the video. For example, on December 5th, Redditor ithinkitsauser posted a parody of the phrase to /r/dogelore,^[2] gaining over 80 points (shown below, left). Several image macros have been posted to memezila^[3] (example shown below, right). The phrase also became popular in subreddits including /r/lean^[4] and /r/playboycarti.^[5]
