About

Zero Deaths is a catchphrase associated with popular Let's Player PewDiePie. While playing certain video games, Pewdiepie will repeat "zero deaths," faux-bragging about how he's so good at video games that his character never dies when he plays. Oftentimes, he repeats the mantra in videos where he's seen dying multiple times in video games.

Origin

PewDiePie first began using the phrase in a playthrough of Dark Souls III, where he made a bet he could make it through the game with zero deaths. The video, uploaded March 26th, 2016, gained over 7 million views.

Spread

A thread about PewDiePie's playthrough was posted to Gamefaqs[1] on the 28th. PewDiePie continued his "zero deaths" playthrough though he died often in Dark Souls III.
