![Fire Emblem Fates - Nishiki X Aqua The first thing to mention is how the localizers have made a mistake in their translation. They translate原っぱ("harappa" or "open field") to葉っぱ(happa" or "leaves"). Which is why Kaden/ Nishiki rolls around in leaves rather than in an open, grassy field which by definition tends to have no leaves As explained in the C conversation, the identity of the fox and their magic depends on their tails (catching their tail is also a way to de-mask them, which is present in the folklore), so Aqua getting entranced is part of the legend of the "kitsune". This can be framed as a "cultural change", but the dialogue is too descriptive for people in the west to not understand. This again, is completely missing, and was the main theme during the whole conversations Aqua/Azura seems to guilt trip herself in the localization for touching Kaden/Nishiki's fur without permission, while in the original, that type of implication is not present.
