![ire Emblem Fates- Sakura B-Support Kamui in the original on Hoshido's side is ignorant of Hoshido's ways (AKA Japan) because he was raised in Nohr (AKA Europe). In their text it's not conveyed at all They basically took out the subplot of "cultural differences" because of "cultural differences" What I think is particularly egregious is that there is this story criticism that Hoshido is portrayed as the angels, but you can see right there where the main character questions the veracity of their history and Sakura pretends to not know what he's talking about. If that isn't a not-so-subtle criticism of the Japanese government's historical myth-building shenanigans I don't know what is. It seems the original's humor was not to the liking of the locallzers and thought they could spice it up a bit more by replacing it and making any characterization present in the original disappear. It was either do or die, or rather, either characterization Soleil was meant to come to an accord with her inner feelings and her misunderstandings with Foleo besides showing how open she is with her feelings and behavior, which aren't present in the localization.
