Germany Oneesan / Anime Girl's Nazi Past - the good old japan

Nazi Germany:

Shit, these concentration camps and war crimes are making us look pretty damn awful.

We need to make sure the wider public never finds out about this.

Imperial Japan:

Reminds me of how Paranoia Agent was apparently a partial commentary on post-war Japan with the show kinda having a message of "you should own up to your past actions instead of making yourself look like the victim" (though if I may sound like an "enlightened centrist" for a moment, imperial Japan and WW2 era America both took pretty damn extreme actions, as Japan's military was all too eager to basically commit serious atrocities during the war, but at the same time America dropping two atomic bombs on primarily civilian populations was also quite bad, they should have dropped those bombs on groups like Unit 731 [who unfortunately ended up getting away with the horrible shit they did]).
