It Would Be a Shame If Something Happened to It - The Great Tragedy

A reminder that WW1 was such a massive and pointless loss of life for everyone that it violently redefined the image of war and was believed to be "the war to end all wars."
People at the time couldn't comprehend that anyone would create a conflict on this scale a second time.

Greatest generation: I hope the young generation never have to experience what we did.
Boomers: THIS YOUNGER GENERATION HAS IT TOO EASY, THEY SHOULD HAVE IT AS HARD AS WE DID! WHAT DO YOU MEAN EVERYONE BORN AFTER US HAS IT HARDER FINANCIALLY THAN WE DID?

Also don't forget the smug attitudes some boomers display when they take a weird amount of pride in the fact they know how to operate older pieces of technology that younger generations never had to experience (though sadly I'm starting to see this attitude bleed into millennials, I saw a video going around not long ago where a millennial parent handed their child a Game Boy and the child, more familiar with modern technology having things like touch screens, attempted to use the Game Boy like a modern phone or tablet, and in the comments a bunch of millennials were saying shit like "I fear for the new generation" and such completely unironically).
