Sometimes I wonder what the U.S. film industry would be like if Hollywood suddenly collapsed…

Who knows, maybe we'll get somebody making films that's competent and respectful towards the works they adapt that doesn't try to change it to pander to the lowest common denominator or whatever the executives think is "hip and cool."
