On September 19th, 2023, Instagram^[1] user and artist row.anii posted a piece of art depicting a woman wrapping her partner in a scarf designed like the lesbian pride flag. The woman with the scarf says, "I know you get cold in the winter" and her partner says, "Thanks for keeping me warm babe." The post gained around 300 likes in a year.

Later that day, Redditor u/DopazOnYouTubeDotCom posted a Photoshop of the art to the /r/bonehurtingjuice^[2] subreddit replacing the captions to read, "where did you get such a long bacon" and "long bacon store," garnering over 5,000 upvotes in the same span of time.

Spread

The meme spread across social media as a redraw format over the following months, becoming a popular inside joke on /r/actuallesbians and /r/bonehurtingjuice.

On November 25th, 2023, X^[3] user @yakitoruu posted a Project Sekai redraw of the meme that garnered over 1,500 likes in 11 months.

In January 2024, a Pointing Soyjak meme referencing the long bacon store was posted to /r/actuallesbians,^[4] garnering over 1,400 likes in the same span of time.
