People will try to salvage its popularity by coining some stupid phrase like "Splatoon Saturday", but those threads will eventually die before reaching the bump limit. Splatoon will probably sell about 100K units in the first month. After that, it'll go to around 200K with all the regions, then stagnant and die. It's a new IP with a purely multiplayer focus, something completely new to Nintendo and fans, on a system not selling well where even Smash only sells 3 million copies. 7 YEARS LATER...
