Let's talk about putting the consumer first. How do companies survive? By appeasing their consumers. If the consumer is not appeased, the company does not succeed. If the consumer is appeased, then the company does better.

It's not an ideology you dunce, it's fucking reality. If devs put their consumers first and work to satisfy the people buying their product, they have nothing to fear. (There's an argument about short games losing a market, but that's for another time.)
