About

Goosh Goosh is the name given to a clip from the anime Tokyo Tribe 2 in which a large mobster character is portrayed as ending the life of a smaller male character via repeated forced insertion of the anus. The video became prominent within niche communities associated with shock sites and gore, receiving early infamy online similar to 2 Girls 1 Cup and other shock media. References to the scene have been common on various social media platforms in memes, reaction videos and discussions since it initially spread in the late 2000s.

Origin

The scene in question takes place in episode one of the show, which first premiered on November 11th, 2006. Clips of the show began to spread online through image boards and YouTube, with the first upload of the scene taking place on June 27th, 2007, (titled "Goosh Goosh" after the sound the voice actor makes during the scene) by the YouTuber Farky, though the video was removed from the platform three years later. A reupload, one of many, was made on July 24th, 2018, by the YouTuber Death22250,[1] where it gained over 463,000 views in five years (shown below).

Spread

On January 19th, 2009, the YouTuber Adiost[2] uploaded an audio-replaced version of the video in which the sounds were swapped for Team Fortress 2 audio cues, ending the meme with You Spin Me Round, which was featured in Meatspin shock videos at the time, earning over 150,000 views in 14 years despite being unlisted for 10 of them (shown below).

On December 27th, 2009, the YouTuber TaterTachi[3] uploaded a reaction video in which they show the Goosh Goosh video to two of their friends, one of the oldest surviving reactions to the scene which also received over 58,000 views in 13 years (shown below).
