A user named PoJopojo put it in the database, but they only referenced the male variant of the phrase.
By 2025, the term is predominantly used by women, or at least, we've tracked more viral examples from female posters than from male ones.
For instance, the earliest known viral tweet to use PWMP was shared by a girl, who joked about being on mute on a call with "boo" who's unaware of the spicy activities going on in the quiet.
