About

PWMP is a slang term that's an acronym for "play with my pussy" or "play with my penis," depending on the gender of the person. Its use went viral in memes and videos on TikTok and Twitter / X, notably trending in 2024 and 2025. The term was first added to the Urban Dictionary in 2009. By July 2025, the term was predominantly used by female and lesbian internet users and meme creators.

Origin

On March 30th, 2009, a definition for PWMP was added to the Urban Dictionary^[1] by user PoJopojo, who defined it as "Play/ed With My Penis." The definition received no likes over 16 years (shown below).

Currently, the first known viral use of the term was a tweet shared by X^[2] user @thatgirlmilly__ on March 2nd, 2024, who wrote (edited for clarity), "If I'm on mute on the phone with my boo, nine out of ten times I'm PWMP 😂." The tweet received over 6,500 likes in a year (shown below).

On August 8th, 2024, TikToker^[3] @kayleekawaii posted a video of herself with a line of dialogue asking her, "Can you watch me PWMP?" Over 11 months, the video received roughly 119,200 likes (shown below).

On December 2nd, X^[7] user @Dollupk1 tweeted about talking to a boy on the phone and wanting to PWMP, gaining over 27,000 likes in seven months (shown below).

On February 2nd, 2025, TikToker^[4] @therealestcecirit posted a video about her partner waking up, "PWMP for 20 minutes" and then falling back asleep, gaining over 93,300 likes in five months (shown below).

On February 3rd, TikToker^[5] @findjapantiess posted a video of her eating cake with the caption, "Woke up, PWMP, then ate a fat slice of red velvet cake," gaining over 162,000 likes in five months (shown below).

On June 28th, 2025, TikToker^[6] @.ssuccubuss posted a Female GIFTok meme, showing actress Kate McKinnon applauding and cheering, captioned, "When he sends me a dump and now I can PWMP for the whole night." In a month, the video received over 71,800 likes (shown below).
