Please don't give people ideas BSOD cause chances are someone is going to do that. Also forget about my chemical weapons idea cause I have a feeling that isn't going to work well and the last thing we need is the blood cultists stealing chemical bombs and using them at us.

Don't worry, the security will be run by the finest Riverian riflemen in the nation. And besides, it won't be the actual leaders in attendance, just a diplomatic representative.

So uhh, I made a plan that will require two other people's help. Hopefully this will stop the generals in their tracks and if they are defeated I can "surrender" and tone down on the fascism.

As you can see, I'll need two people to corporate. So if anyone wants to help, I'd greatly appreciate it.

The Blood Kingdom has been everyone's enemy since the beginning. We should start sending reinforcements to Roses and the Quechua.

We can also put warships near the Blood Kingdom's coast to prevent any of the Bloodinites/Bloodists? to get into Europe.


ALSO, would any of you guys want to participate in the DONLYMPICS? I built that stadium for a
reason.

I can't do anything about the blood kingdom this coming turn. My forces are busy busy busy. Roses will need to hold them alone for the time being. But I agree to making raids on their docks so they don't go anywhere. I don't know what their navy is like but we can't assume they don't have galleons

As for Olympics, I like this idea. Wont be next turn but maybe the turn after I can participate.

@YARD, yeah that would help. Although I'll be bombarding from my barrage line and hopefully we can annihilate the generals before they can react.

TURN 14



  • Quechua marches to war against the Blood Kingdom, coming so close to their capital that they are forced to divert a huge number of their soldiers from the south to fight in defense. Ovon gatling guns make quick work of the sword-armed blood soldiers, requiring more manpower to fill the gaps in the defensive lines. The Blood Kingdom is rapidly and pathetically losing their gambit for continental domination.
  • The Mexicans, confident that the Pathmakers will soon be dealt with, divert a large number of soldiers to the east to aid the Choctaw. They successfully defeat a Syserrene army and help in pushing the Doonish back into Florida, but are devastated by a terrible hurricane which sweeps across Florida, across the gulf, and smashes directly into Mexico city. The coastline is hit hard and supply lines are held up for weeks, giving their enemies a significant advantage.
  • Using weapons imported from their friends abroad, the Pathmakers deal out significant casualties to the Mexican Empire and the Choctaw. Sioux is annexed and Ottawa is invaded as well.
  • Depleted of manpower from the war against Doon in Florida, the Choctaw are unable to mount any kind of defense against the Pathmakers. They are now relying almost entirely upon Mexican and Iroqouis reinforcements to fight their war.



World Summit

  • The second meeting of the World Summit is much more successful than the last, and the group is making a name for itself in the world by making impassioned statements and writing angry letters to world leaders.
  • In addition to many European nations, Quechua and the Pathmakers send representatives.

Levantine Republic

  • South Georgia is claimed by a military expedition.
  • The government is reformed, altering the senate into a parliament with an elected Prime Minister to lead the nation.
  • Electricity is discovered and applications for it are found. Soon a plethora of electrical inventions are being developed or imported from abroad and applied in Levant.
  • Occupation of the Sahara is difficult, costly, and does not yield much benefit. Regardless, a large claim reaching as far as camel riders are able to enforce is made over the eastern side of the desert. In some places, Berber tribesmen violently oppose Levantine intrusion, attacking them with rifles.
  • A national anthem is composed alongside many militaristic themes for the army. Militant nationalism is on the rise.
  • Malacca agrees to become a protectorate.
  • Military forces are sent to Ovo to aid in the fight against the Swords. Thankfully, there is little fighting to be had as the Sword armies fall back to their own territory due to internal struggles.
  • Grants are given out to art and science colleges.
  • Knightly orders are reintroduces to the military, although most of the awards are aimed towards heavy weapons teams.
  • The best athletes in the country are sent to Dathuastan to attend something called "Donlympics." There is no such event and, thoroughly confused, the athletes return home in short order.

  • Soldiers are sent to Ovo to fight the revolutionaries. Fortunately they are unneeded.
  • New weapons are developed, among them the gatling gun and much faster-firing rifles.
  • Ships are sent to the Blood Kingdom to bombard their ports. This effort is fairly ineffective as the kingdom has far too long of a coastline to blockade effectively, but it does manage to provide a demoralizing effect on their people.
  • Sports researchers travel around the world to learn of the sports practiced in other countries.
  • Licenses and training are required to own weapons, vehicles, and businesses. Weapon ownership plummets as a result, and the state involvement in the economy helps to regulate trade to the benefit of larger businesses, which are growing internationally as a result.

Doon

  • The steam engine is invented, no doubt inspired by other nations. All attempts to transform this engine into a petroleum-fueld device have failed thus far.
  • Oil and gold are mined in the norther trundra. The oil much less so than the gold, due to it being practically worthless.
  • The state takes control over military industries and encourages other productive enterprises to expand by removing economic restrictions. Trans-continental corporations are on the rise.
  • A Doonish army joins the party in Ovo. Nothing much happens and the soldiers return home unharmed.
  • Somebody needs to inform the high command that there has never been any Choctaw resistance in Cuba. The monthly reinforcements are unneeded, and generally sit around watching the locals pick plantains and bananas.
  • Fortifications are built up further in Panama. The Mexican force at the border has thinned, with most men assumed to have been diverted to the war much further north.
  • All messages sent to the Choctaw and Iroquois are either not received or completely ignored. Requests for their surrender apparently fall on deaf ears.
  • With Mexican reinforcements, the Choctaw army manages to push the Doonish back into the Florida peninsula.
  • A hurricane strikes Florida. Fighting stops during the storm as soldiers strive instead to fight against the elements. The storm proves too much for the supply lines and meager field constructions, blowing most of them down or burying them in mud. The ground, loosened by the war's nearly continuous artillery shelling, is ripe for landslides and the former battlefields become swamps.
  • Choctaw and Mexican forces are equally devestated by the storm, and are forced to retreat from Florida.

  • The Japanese are allowed to maintain their emperor as a religious symbol and position of local authority. This act quells most of the unrest.
  • The colonies are fortified.
  • Doonish gatling guns are imported and improved upon. They are made more compact and accurate, and the firing rate is increased dramatically.
  • Body armor is extended to cover the entire body. Expensive and heavy, this design proves wildly ineffective on a modern battlefield as it drastically reduces movement speed. Being that maneuverability is key in combat, especially in the dense terrain of Polic colonies, this new design is quickly abandoned.

  • Attempts are made to build settlements in the Saharan desert. This is foolish. The barren wasteland supports no life and the Berbers are visually upset by the attempt. The colony is quickly abandoned for fear of attack and lack of profit.
  • Electricity is discovered. Inventions surrounding the breakthrough are created and quickly replace their medieval counterparts. Candle and lamp oil sales are at an all time low due to the propagation of light bulbs.

  • A huge quantity of foreign soldiers from almost every civilized nation on earth have come to Ovo to fight the revolutionaries. Unfortunately for them, the Swords left shortly before they arrived, leaving hundreds of thousands of men with nothing to do. They leave and an unexplained rise in pregnancies soon follows.
  • Electromagnetic devices are invented which can harness the power of radio waves to transmit signals as fast as light across huge distances.
  • Weapons factories are added to the list of things that only the state may own.
  • Rare resources are mined in Africa, aiding the factories at home in producing modern goods at reasonable prices.
  • Quechua is sent weapons and supplies for their war. Ovo is thanked a thousand times, and then a thousand times more. A lot of land in their capital is set aside for the construction of a monument after the war is over, in honor of the Ovon donation.
  • Compensation is gifted to families who have lost relatives in the war. This is essentially everybody, and the compensation transforms into a very temporary state welfare system to help the nation get back on its feet.
  • Immigrants are given automatic citizenship upon arrival in Ovo for the duration of the war.
  • Raiders cross the border into Iroquoia and establish small bases in the forests from which they state nightly raids in towns and villages which contain industries related to the war effort. Focused on reinforcing their Choctaw allies, the Iroquois are unwilling to do much about the raiders for now, only eliminating the ones they find within the country and never chasing them across the border when they flee.

  • The Quechuan emperor feels scorned that the Roses would ignore his offer of friendship. Nevertheless, he continues in declaring war against the Blood Kingdom, as he intended.
  • Reinforcements are sent to Tupi and Guarani to defend against the Blood Kingdom. Due to their hatred and distrust for Europeans, they interpret the reinforcements as invaders and lose all hope, immediately surrendering to the Blood Kingdom and joining armies with them to fight the Roses.
  • Electrical analog computers are invented, aiding in massive calculations and the documentation of huge quantities of data. They can also be used to encode and decode messages using extremely complex ciphers.
  • Steam engines are applied in the Congo to help pump water to farms and propel small riverboats upstream, pushing the colonial effort inland significantly.
  • The military is reformed to utilize airships and radio communication. This helps coordinate ground movement so well that any enemy weakness can be quickly assessed and taken advantage of. Lighting fast operations can be pulled off with minimal casualties.
  • The economy is reformed to help big businesses become even bigger. Assistance is given to corporations that seek to go multinational with their trading, and Rose merchants are showing up in ports around the world, managing imports and exports. Radio communication helps this endeavor greatly, as communication between suppliers and vendors helps Rose businessmen coordinate their growing corporate empires.

  • The American colony is expanded into native lands to the north and west. There is very little they can do to stop the incoming settlers.
  • The state becomes very involved in the economy, encouraging growth of larger corporations and the destruction of floundering smaller companies.
  • The new lands in north America prove valuable hunting grounds, and fur exports bring in much money to the colony.
  • Ironclad warships are developed, powered by Riverian steam engines.

They control a near monopoly on caravan guidance, and have started to charge steeper rates for safe passage into the Sahel.
  • The train is invented. Railway lines are constructed connecting all of the towns in north Africa, bringing cargo, passengers, and news from one area to another rapidly. This first practical application of the steam engine leads to a plethora of others, and many factories are being upgraded with machines run automatically by coal-fueled engines. Naval Monte's production output soars above their neighbors, and goods become insanely cheap. Exports are as high as they have ever been in Navan history.
  • Textile mills, now almost fully automated and driven by steam power, operate day and night to produce only the fanciest, frilliest, and most fashionable clothing of all.
  • A modern justice system is established, similar to others which are being built up in Ovo and Doon.
  • Zanzibar and Ethiopia are armed as thanks for their aid in the war against Zulu.
  • Navan forces are sent to Ovo, realize the war is over, and return home.

Kingdom of Riveria

  • Steam locomotives are developed, reducing the practical distance between industries. This is a massive boon to the economy, but also heralds in other changes as well. Practical applications of the steam engine in running other types of machines have been created, such as automatic canning and bottling plants and smelteries which require minimal manual labor to operate. As standardization of parts becomes the norm to fit with the parts on machines, repairs and replacements become more feasible and everything becomes cheaper. Riveria is rapidly becoming a production powerhouse, exporting all kinds of goods around the world.
  • The Wall is fortified with new howitzers and rail-mounted guns.
  • The monarch gradually loses power over time until the true power in Riveria is held by the democratically elected Spruce Council.
  • The "unique national alcohol" bandwagon is boarded by Riverian Absinthe, an alcoholic beverage distilled from mountain flowers and other plants.

  • Utilizing Riverian steam engines and ship designs, a new and super-heavy ship is built. The world's first ironclad sails out of a Sword harbor, marking an end to round-shot cannon battles.
  • The revolutionary army is sent to take the Ovon capital and then is promptly bombarded from behind by their own artillery. Determining this betrayal to originate in the senate, the generals quickly turn away from the city to return the favor. The Republican forces surrender and join the revolutionary army, giving them many new howitzer cannons.
  • Marching back home to bring justice to the senate, the Revolutionaries are met by three Republican armies, each of which surrenders and joins the Revolutionary army. By the time they reach the capital the senators are already dead, having been killed by a mob. One of the generals, a very charismatic man with many victories behind him, takes on the responsibility of reforming the government. He places many military officers into positions of power and decides that a democracy is too dangerous and unpredictable of a form of government. He coins a new term to describe his militaristic, nationalist government: fascism.
  • Under the new state the old codes of honor are revitalized. Savagery in the military, such as whipping for disobedience and the slaughter of prisoners of war, is all abolished. A system of checks and vetting is established among the officer corps to crush corruption and ensure quality of leadership.
  • The economy is brought under guidance by the state, with a new system rewarding good business practices which bring profit to the state and welfare to the people. The largest and most successful businesses are given grants, and those which abuse their workers or engage in corrupt practices are punished and reformed or broken apart.
  • A new force of marines is trained in amphibious assault operations, being deployed from ironclads.

Syserror

  • Small merchant companies merge into larger ones as technology allows massive corporations to emerge. The government aids this progress by lifting restrictions on trade and production as well as lowering taxes for the rich.
  • War is declared on the Chagatai. The Indians refuse to allow Syserrene armies through and, concerned about the security of their sphere of influence, annex the central Asian nation. This has caused tensions between Persia and China, as well as Syserror. The alliance is in decay.
  • Reinforcements are sent to Ovo. They are gladly not needed.
  • An invasion force is sent into Malacca. This prompts the tiny kingdom to accept the offer of protection sent from Levant. The Syserrene expeditionary force finds itself suddenly assaulting positions with Levantine flags planted upon them.
  • Choctaw is invaded. Initially there is significant gain made and a city is captured, but a Mexican counter-attack combined with an unfortunate hurricane has ravaged the initial invasion force. The fleet is heavily damaged by the storm and the army is weaker than ever due to the loss of men, but some land is held. The Mexican army had an agenda in Florida, and decided to leave the Syserrene army to starve instead of wiping them out.
  • Using new printing presses, Kebab doctrine is printed en-masse and distributed to schools both at home and abroad. This helps to spread the faith into some of the faithless corners of the world and bolsters its strength in Anatolia.
  • African gold is reinvested in the local economy, gaining the favor of the locals and greatly helping in their efforts to modernize.

Yeah similar to how I repayed you for helping me out with the Zulus Zanzibar and Ethiopia also helped and I had to keep my end of the deal of giving them weapons as a reward for helping me.

Yeah the other nations that developed steam engines I was expecting them to make those but I wasn't expecting them to not make them into state secret, that one was a surprise for me.

i just noticed that, if every nation actually "helped" on the pregnancy ratings, my new generation is gonna be latin, iraqui, slavic, finnish, swedish and african, persian, hell all of europe concentrated on 1 nation

rip my teutonic legacy, im gonna become the new USA

Striped land does not represent resistance. It means the war is not over and the land is still internationally recognized as belonging to somebody that is not you. You need to broker peace (not happening with Choctaw), annex the enemy nation, or simply pull out of the war in order to have the land be recognized as yours and not occupied. This is a game mechanic so that the progress of a war can be easily seen at a glance, and not something that you can circumvent by sending more troops.
