Also this. "Splashy."

@Conor's headcanon
I always had it as Nightmare Moon's prescence being a by-product of Luna's anger and sadness at not being appreciated, came into existance to help Luna get the attention she wanted, and only wanted the ponies to notice the night. So, she made it impossible for them to ignore it. I'd say she only wanted to be appreciated, not to kill everyone. The whole "refusal to lower the moon" thing was just her trying to get them to notice the beauty of the night. It was not meant in malice or murderous intentions, just anger at being ignored and an outcast. Think, a pony who's only active at night probably doesn't get much of a social life, and probably is considered a weirdo by the others, killing any chance of interaction or acceptance.

To go against my headcanon is to go against Faust.
You shall burn, you heretic.
jk

All different interpretations.
Also, if that is your headcanon, you might like Past Sins.
(I can't remember if you've read it yet or not.)

@Conor
Burn? You forget who you're talking to………….I AM THE BURNING. The blaze, the inferno. The incinerator whose only purpose is to spread the flames of hatred and chaos across the internet. So don't go saying that you can set the master of immolation ablaze!
END RANT

No hard feelings. Anyway, I'll take a look at it. Now, you said something about your headcanon last night, or the night before…………..EXPLAIN.

@Muffins
I don't feel anything at that picture. I feel nothing. Ever. It takes a lot to repaint the inside of my chest cavity with my heart's pieces. I just think you guys would. Also, that Scootaloo pic still doesn't give me any feelings of D'aaw. The cookie one tugs a little, but not by much.

@404
Yes. I can.

@Random
It tugs a hell of a lot more than the cookies, but still not heart combustion. It's close, but no cigar. Now, back to reading the long-ass fanfic known as Past Sins. I love the cult in the begining. I want that armor. I really want that armor.

@404
Go forth, and draw ponies.

I never really understood Pinkie's background. I always wondered if the rock farmers were the pony equivilant of the Amish. But, they seem to be a lot more accepting of new ideas than the Amish, so that throws me off. However, Pinkie going into the outside world could be considered the pony version of a Rumspringa (Hope I spelled that right.), which is a journey out into the outside, to expirence new things. The idea is to hopefuly scare the kids into staying on the path of the Amish, but it doesn't always work.
Or, I could be wrong and just humiliated myself again.

You want to head my headcanon? Well here it is:

I incorporate elements of some of it being Pinkie's embellishment, and some of it being an actual farm, and plenty of headcanon, and some elements from tumblrs like Ask the Pie Sisters.

I say that Pinkie's grandfather came to Ponyville at the same period as when the Apples arrived. They had a wheat (or any other thing really) farm outside of Ponyville.

One year there was a drought, or a dragon, or something that destroyed the wheat/whatever it was they grew, and then they were close to staving (similarly to the Apples).

But that disaster revealed a cave or summat. But Clyde (Pinkie's dad) discovered it (damn, this is sounding a lot like Family Appreciation Day) and got his cutie mark. Then they had enough gems/precious metals to buy food and things to keep themselves afloat.

They wanted to go back to wheat/whatever farming, but they just didn't and kept mining.
Pinkie knew that they worked with rocks and she knew that it used to be a farm. So she put them together into a rock farm.

Any questions?

@Verbose
thanks man, that'll really help.
i try to regularly post on any thread i frequent (which means that over time i've kinda overextended myself), so i'll try to be on more. no, i might not post so much while i'm learning the textile code, it's a lot different from what i'm used to.

i'll figure it out though :)

@Conor
Well played. Also, I have many thanks for you from linking Past Sins. It's great so far. But the cult in the begining are just pussies in my opinion. They have no idea of true loyalty. They sneak around, behind the scenes, with their little rituals and cutting of ponies. They are nothing compared to what I am and how far I would go.

If anyone wants to know what I thought of the episode, I didn't like it (duh). Maybe it was just me, but I saw the whole thing as an allegory for shipping, which it was. That's not really my problem, though, I just thought it wasn't executed well at all. The CMC came off as annoying, especially during the damn song. Probably my least favorite episode, personally. Maybe they're just trying to get all the obligatory holiday episodes out of the way.

Also, this:

This is a complete list of the Mare-a-thon countdown. I got up at six AM to take this down, and you are all very much welcome because I am tired! :)

The results are quite different compared to those of the original EqD poll. For instance, Lesson Zero, which placed in first on the first poll, is in seventh place here. From the appearance of numbers 4, 3, and 2, which are Suited for Success, The Best Night Ever, and Green Isn't Your Color, respectively, I get the feeling that a lot more little girls voted on this poll than bronies. It seems like they actually prefer seeing ponies in fabulous dresses, instead of us, who like to see them lose their minds.

That's just my educated guess/opinion. What do you guys think?

Fightin-

Oops, sorry was obsessing over nuggets due to the Hax Mega stream this morning.
Anyways I want to give my opinion on this episode. (Opinion? More like rating…)
8/10
I don't think this episode needed a letter to the princess, it needed a letter to the teacher! By the way epic trolling at end of episode.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST MY TOOTH IS HURTING SO BAD! UGH!

Ah, Past Sins. I don't care what anyone says, that was a good fanfic. It wasn't exactly Shakespeare, but it was still pretty awesome. I know people say Nyx is a Mary Sue OC, and they may be right, but it didn't stop her from being damned adorable. So, Pyro, if you haven't read it already, you should really check it out. If you have read it… well… good job.

Somehow this reminded me that I still have to finish reading Fallout Equestria. It's only a matter of time before someone spoils the ending for me.

Anyways, SynchTube! Sorry that I'm a bit late in setting one up. I had to go do this thing at the place. You know how it is.

Dafuq is DIS?!

Seriously, that story rips me off on 3 different fronts! We have the the electric pony who's good with technology, we have an earth pony who wants to fly, and there's a thing called "Gigatrot".

Doubleyoo Tee Eff!?

Thanks(?) to Citation for pointing that out.

Have you posted you fanon online anywhere besides here?
If not, then there is no other explanation besides magic *snortsnort* (or aliens of course).

You'll probably want to contact the author before EqD.

I don't know your fanon nor what was in the story so I really don't know what is goog on.

P.S. You might not want to come back right now, talking about Past Sins and stuff.

It's probably just a coincidence… I think… regardless it's not like anyone would care if I went ahead with my story anyway. Plagiarism is the glue that holds the fan fiction community together after all.

Speaking of which… Algernon, Y U NO HAVE GOOD TASTE?! Past Sins is the uninspired fan fiction equivalent of one of those trashy romance books your aunt gets at the supermarket checkout rack. It's all cliche fluff and no substance, and just because it's longer then The Lord of the Rings doesn't mean the author had to devote much effort to it beyond finger cramps and hard drive space.

Back to the topic at hand, I might read that guy's story just to see if I need to make changes to my FC's fanon, coincidence or not I wouldn't want to be called out.

You've angered the shippers………hide. Quick.
As for the whole "not a lot of Bronies voting" thing, I say that's probably it. We do prefer the ones with the insanity.

Agreed. There is sooooo much saddle-soreness.

Let me give you guys an example, with our friend Caramel. Shippers continue to argue on his supposed sexual orientation. Here, we have two separate pics from Ponibooru.

Team Straight:

Team Gay

It should be noted that Team Gay posted first, and that both teams are full of morons.

Science. It works, bitches.

@Pyro:

I think Lauren Faust mentioned directly that Nightmare Moon's Plan was to starve all the ponies to death.
It's not headcanon, it's plain old canon.

@Fridge logic's list:

There is another thing, in the EqD poll you could only vote for one episode but the Hub poll was for 10.

It could be that a lot of people voted for Luna Eclipsed as their "second favourite" episode and so it got higher than Lesson Zero by total number of votes.

We've been over this glue thing before Muffins.

There are plenty of ways to make glue that are not based on grinding up horses.

That's what I figured as well. It seems to appeal to both demographics.

@muffins: Three guesses.

What could have happened: People use the pairings in this episode to reinvent their fanons and lead to new and interesting ideas.

What actually happened:

In a desperate attempt to preserve their old shipping fanons they come up with silly-ass excuses as to why somepony was with somepony else instead of the pair they came up with. Because, you know, the stuff they made up is so much more important then what actually happens in the show.

Bronies… so much dissapoint, so very much.

I actually kind of thought that comic was funny, and a little sweet.

But you are correct, this whole shipping fiasco has really brought out the worst in this fandom. The jealousy, the anger, the Fluttemac/Cheerimac Civil War. I feel like shipping has been ruined. It really turns everyone into monsters.

Seriously, 99% of all ships will never happen. Quit deluding yourselves, people.

Although I admit, one thing bad about this episode was pretty much this:
"I'D LOVE TO SEE R34 OF BIG MAC AND CHERILEE RIMMING EACHOTHER"

Which is the part I dislike about the brony community, then again that's what I hate about EVERY community.

You… you visit other communities besides the brony one? You are cheating on bronies?

Look, just because I am in other communities by no means that I am cheating on you guys. Give me 2, no at least 1 LOGICAL reason why me being in other communities besides the brony community or the Know Your Meme community makes me cheating on the brony/KYM community.
Unless you were actually just joking.

Not trying to start a spitfire war, however.

@Riyku
yes, I did enjoy it. I gave it a thumbs up.

@Phoenix
I like to think that maybe Celestia kidnaps thousands of "undesirables" from the lower castes every year so they can "fulfill their duty to Equestria."

Spending time in another community automatically means not spending time with us. And is therefore cheating on the Brony community over at KYM.

Waaaaah!!

@Connor

Ugh… Why do all the best artists do weird anthro shit all the time?

Because Furries came first. When artists wanted to involve themselves in something weird, Furries were the way to go.

Ponies have given some artists something new to chew on in the spectrum of weirdness. But it has not replaced Furries. I notice that many Brony artists drew Furries in the past and evidently those same artists still have some involvement in the Furry fandom.

@Episode

So I watched the new episode and noticed that at the beginning of the episode Scootaloo appeared to glide across the room. If she didn't leap, then I'd say she flew.

Is Scoot able to fly now?

I don't have too much else to say on the episode. Everything else that I was going to point out has been discussed already. Some parts made me LOL, some parts made me cringe (babytalk), overall I rate it "Okay"

@Fridge

All of us? Or just Russelc? I think the guy is trolling. It really is quite sensational to think we have to stick with one fandom. Having multiple fandoms doesn't cost anything.

I love Homestuck, am I cheating on the Brony fandom too? Don't think so.
