That argument about the foals is irrelevant. The fact that these ponies are able to do those things at such an early age doesn't mean they aren't still children at the age of six. It doesn't take a perceptive genius to see that Chrysalis meant that as an insult, implying that Pinkie's party was suitable only for a six-year-old child.

I happen to be in the camp of people who believe that pony aging is completely different from that of humans anyway, especially when using Granny Smith and the age of Ponyville as a reference.

As for the downvotes, do I even have to say it?

The argument about the baby cakes is irrelavent and stupid. As Dan said, it's obvoius that chrysalis meant it to be insulting. I highly doubt granny smith is 25-30 years old. Sure, they are equines by name and their general shape, but the fact that they can talk, fly, do magic, and many other things means they probably arent bound to the same lifetimes as earth horses. It's a stupid thing to discuss really.

Honestly, I don't really care. To find neutral ground, I'd personally say somewhere around sixty years.
But I am not going to mess with it much further.

As many of you (admit it, many of you) were annoyed by the recent spree of downvotes, I'd like to tell you all that the cause has been found and dealt with. The user responsible has also joined the site's IRC and everything got worked out. I won't call names here, but I guess people will know soon enough. If I however notice any of you attacking the user responsible once word gets out, I will not hesitate to give you a warning.
