I require, however, that space be free of nuclear weapons. I think we can all agree that we don't want this game to end in the way that RussianFedora chose.

Space cannot be for those who cannot be trusted not to use it to destroy their foes.

EDIT: I feel we must also establish once and for all a permanent peace in Europe. There are now nuclear weapons on the table. Our colonial interests conflict. Europe is not big enough for all of us. A war that could entangle all European states could arise as soon as next turn, if the Crimsons aren't left alone.

On these grounds I suggest we come together to divide Europe once and for all, along national lines.

-A particularily deadly disease has begun to spread throughout the world, seeming to originate in multiple locations: Spain, South Victoria, and Finland. Due to the particularly harsh casualties in Finland, it comes to be known as Finnish Influenza.

The United Socialist States of Victoria
Dictatorship of the Proletariat

-Fission detonations are utilized to compress a nuclear fission reaction, in the first so called "H Bomb." The first of these bombs is tested in Nevada.
-Extreme ranges are achieved with ICBM rockets. Nuclear weapons can now be launched over entire continents. However, being so expensive to produce, massive retaliation can only be launched on a local scale, requiring missile launch facilities to be on the same continent as their targets for the most part.
-A new missile launch facility is established in Skyrim. The IRBMs installed there can strike targets as distant as Moscow or Madrid.
-Aircraft carriers and U-boats are now being built for the navy.

The Kingdom of Fasier

-A nuclear reactor is built. Antiseptics are developed.
-Chocolate is "invented," although it appear that Victoria controls all of the key chocolate production regions. To encourage the growth of Deisean chocolate plantations, a free trade agreement is reached with the commies.
-SRBMs are developed, and attempts are made to put them into orbit.
-Studies into automated machines and artificial intelligence are made. These hypothetical machines are coined "robots."

The United States of the Syserror Republic

-Tank and monoplane designs are developed. Radar is invented. -Ballistic missiles are improved in range. Dozens of tests are conducted across Persia.
-Georgia painfully accepts integration under threat of force.
-Polish refugees are welcomed and encouraged to emigrate to Russia. Many thousands fleeing the war arrive and end up poor and homeless.
-Invasions are launched into China and Persia. The Kuomintang finally crumbles, and the Persian nation is toppled. Finland provides what assistance they can.
-Interactions with Finnish troops has led to infection of Syserrene soldiers with Finnish Influenza. The campaign in Persia is plagued with the disease, devestating operations and allowing Persian army groups to reform as guerilla fighters in the mountains and deserts.

-Sattelite technology is sent from Morrowind. A Seccian space program is established.
-Various rocket and jet technologies are developed, including RPGs, IRBMs, and the jet plane.
-An attack is launched upon Pretoria. Air strikes on key military installations aid the land and naval forces in forging forward. Most of the coastline is captured.

The Noble Republic of Angmar

-Nuclear reactors and the mechanical computer are created.
-Attempts are made to mock other nations' aviation developments. With Seccian and Dunmer aid, Angmar's scientists successfully develop their own SRBMs and monoplanes.
-Persia is requesting immediate assistance against the invading Syserrene Russians. However, for the most part, the Persian government no longer exists, and it's army is beyond repair.
-The capital is moved to Constantinople.
-Indian vassal states are integrated into the republic. As a sign of good will to the local principalities, current rulers remain in charge, albeit with less power.
-The local government of Iraq is usurped by violent revolutionaries. Corporations invested in oil development attempt to protect their investments with the use of mercenary corps, and the Angman military launches an invasion to defend corporate interests.
-Diplomatic talks with the Chinese Imperials and Korea have resulted in a proposal of alliance from Korea, fearing a communist takeover. The turmoil in the Imperial Territory has caused a breakdown of their state's diplomatic functions, and the diplomat returns unsuccessful.
-Pommerania is invaded. Strong defensive lines are breached due to superior numbers, military experience, and applied technology. Greater casualties were on the Angman side, however, due to the extensive fortifications and deep entrenchment of the enemy.

The United Kingdom of Vascony

-Submarine technology is invested into. Aeronautics and nuclear research begins. Forsetian engineers deliver biplane schematics.
-The Swahili kingdoms are annexed, and expansion is made into east Africa. Tunisia is made a protectorate. Adal and Ethiopia are invaded.
-A sizable chunk of German territories within Crimsonia defects to Vascony after the collapse of the Polish regime.
-New Aragon's colonial governor is swept out of power by a coup, led by militant anti-communist reactionaries. Victoria has announced that this development is "supremely threatening to peace" and have increased patrols in the seas near Minnesota.

Medicea Medical Incorporated

-A series of radio transmission towers are constructed throughout key population centers and on the routes between them, declared with the intention of "keeping the nation's military constantly alert." Ham radio enthusiasts tapping into the airwaves find that the signal is repetitive and never varies, casting bad credibility to the national defense forces.
-Scotland and Ireland are protesting colonial rule, and many are suing for an independence referendum.
-UBoats are now being built.
-Continued domination of the medical market by Medicea Medical Incorporated (MMI) has led to a total monopoly. Not only does the powerful mega-corporation own nearly every major business in the nation, they also control the politics of government as well. The de-facto ruler of the region is the MMI board of directors, which is not a terrific step away from the old republic, in which the nation's wealthiest men already controlled the vote. Most princes on the Noble Council were already top shareholders of MMI stock.
-Serious attempts are made at "invading" neighboring economies by creating a heavy reliance on MMI technology. Being the most advanced medical center on the planet makes this an easy task. MMI clinics begin appearing in nearly every stable non-communist nation on earth.

The Most Serene Republic of Morrowind
Fridge Logic

-IRBM designs and the atomic bomb plans are sent to Morrowind from Victoria. Joint rocket projects result in the creation of ICBMs, specialist rockets designed to deliver a nuclear payload to any location on the globe.
-The Morrowind Aeronautics and Space Administration, also known as MASA, has been established. The first human being is placed into orbit. The man promptly notes a series of words etched into the face of Russia, and promptly declares upon his arrival that BSOD must be compensating for something.
-Rocket technology from MASA is applied in the creation of fighter jets, as well as passenger jet liners, such as the conspicuously named Boeing 707.
-Assault rifles are sent from Angmar.
-Free speech laws are applied to the ensuing case on the Communist Party, much to the dismay of the nation's wealthy elite. The media attention of the case has drawn a number of new members to the party, which previously was largely unknown to the general population.

The Federal Republic of Forseti

-Various advances are made into aeronautics, including the development of tactical bombers and monoplanes. SRBMs are developed, and a missile launch facility is established in Denmark.
-Further reinforcements to the borders manage to deter a major Angman assault for a while, but eventually the attack breaks through and Forsetian troops are forced into a mass retreat.
-Forsetian military top brass appear to be convinced that they control a portion of Star Island when, in fact, they don't.
-Another missile launch facility is under construction in Japan. Unfortunately, it cannot be finished while routes from Denmark to Japan are occupied by enemy naval forces of Seccia and Angmar.
-Further military benefits are provided, giving incentive to further volunteers.
-Red China invades the Manchu provinces. The garrisons stationed there are forced to retreat to Japan. Hong-Kong is also seized.

Any power with the power to launch nuclear weapons against Victoria, contact me. Immediately.

-Army ants numbering in the billions have spontaneously appeared on the shores of Watokka, England, Iberia, Pretoria, and Javertus. They are unlike regular ants in the fact that they are capable of devouring nearly any organic material presented to them, and they do not settle in one location for a permanent home. Initially fought as pests, the regions in question are now deeming the sudden attack as regional or national emergencies.

-Jetplanes are developed, as well as tactical bomber variants.
-Submarines are under construction. The dreadnaught class is phased out, having been deemed too large and slow of a target to justify the extreme cost. Aircraft is the new mainstay of the military, and carrier groups become the primary form of naval fleet.
-A Vascon invasion fleet is destroyed, and the nuclear weapons are unleashed upon Europe. To justify the attack to their people, the propaganda ministry criticizes the imperialists actions on "Victoria's continent" as well as the attacks in China, and the imminent nuclear threat of Forseti.
-A blockade of the Summerset Sea is initiated to keep the Basque nation from launching any counterattacks through this region.
-The invasion of Alpsia proves more difficult than initially thought, as the locals are well prepared with improvised local defenses and a colonial volunteer militia. Their experiences in the prior war have made them savvy to Victorian tactics and how to fight them in guerrilla warfare.
-Suevia is attacked from across Ontario Bay, and the land forces make a sweeping offense around Nova Scotian defensive lines. The dug in garrisons are crushed, and significant northward advances are made.
-Imperialist forces are demanded to vacate all overseas colonies bordering Victoria, or face another wave of nuclear strikes against Europe. Victoria lays claim to the following regions: Lusitania, Alpsia, New Aragon, Ontario, Suevia, Nova Scotia, and Deisea.

The Kingdom of Fasier

-U-Boats and intermediate ranged missiles are developed.
-A space program begins, and a man is put into orbit.
-Video games are invented, changing the entertainment industry in unspeakable ways.
-Email becomes the primary form of business communication with the creation of the internet.
-Artificial environments are experimented with, to contain a self sustaining ecology within a small and confined area.
-The land army is obliterated by superior Vascon forces during a surprise attack in Iberia and Aggarra.
-Victoria initiates a massive blockade of the Summerset Sea, sinking as much shipping through the region as possible. This decimates the Deisean economy, but surprisingly enough does save the island from Vascon invasion.

The United States of the Syserror Republic

-The tank is developed into the epitome of modern technological innovation. Tactical bombers are also created.
-Satellites are put into orbit.
-Mechanical computers are sent from Vascony.
-Vaccines are created. In particular, a vaccine for the Finnish flu. However, the virus cannot be effectively weakened, and proves to show that vaccinations have an adverse effect. Casualties are on the rise as the disease progressively evolves into new strains.
-To combat the disease, a series of quarantines are enacted, and the borders are closed to most trade except, notably, medical imports.
-The Persian war is ended. Finnish troops are quickly rushed back to Finland to prevent further infection, and the haste of the retreat breaks their logistics. Many soldiers die on the way home of starvation or exhaustion.
-The capital is moved to Moscow. This proves to be a terrible mistake when the senate is liquidated by nuclear fires. The states immediately elect a new senate, which is not yet in session due to a debate over where to host it.
-The Chinese Imperials align themselves with Syserror, and the Syserrene military invades Red China, tearing their military machine to pieces. Beijing is captured, and the communist forces are split in two. Victoria reacts violently, declaring Syserror to be an immediate threat to the communist front, and adds Moscow to the short list of priority nuclear bombing targets.

The Empire of Yomi

-A policy of political and economic isolation is mandated by the empire. The island closes its borders to all foreign influence.
-Tanks, gliders, and ironclad ships are constructed.
-The radio is invented.

The Most Serene Republic of Seccia

-ICBMs are created.
-Initially a secret project, it becomes news that Seccia is constructing orbital weapons platforms after various satellite observatories spot the massive construct in orbit.
-Quarantines are established, and work is begun on a vaccine for Finnish Influenza.
-Troops stationed in Pretoria are recalled.
-Scottish communists pour across the borders after the nuclear bombing of Northumberland, capturing Wales and much of north western England. The military garrison of Britain is decimated by the attacks.
-With the loss of England seeming imminent, the republic's head officials are proposing a parliamentary escape to the Ashenlands, a loyal, well developed, and predominantly Anglo colony.
-Domestic production of goods is encouraged, but widely ignored, especially the the nature of the present war.
-Military control over Germany collapses entirely with the destruction of Oldenburg, the military headquarters and most well developed city of the region.

The Noble Republic of Angmar

-An atomic bomb test is successfully conducted in the Sahara Desert.
-ICBM technology is received from Morrowind.
-Jet planes and digital computers are developed.
-Persia is invaded, and the southern and eastern regions are occupied quickly. Syserrene aerial forces bombard the advancing Angmen until the Persian garrison is defeated.
-War in Pommerania is ended.
-Troops are sent to occupy Kashmir, Tibet, and Nepal. The three nations have little military forces to stop the attack, but the absence of roads, reliable maps, local hospitality, and the rough terrain makes the advance very slow to prevent sizable attrition related casualties.
-Missile silos are established on Star Island.

The United Kingdom of Vascony

-Digital computers are invented, and the Fasien internet is tapped into.
-Forseti sends monoplanes and tactical bombers.
-Rocket schematics and samples arrive from Syserror. These are utilized to put men and various objects into orbit.
-Solar power, among other things, heralds a "green energy" revolution.
-Missile boats are created, capable of shelling a distant target accurately with massive firepower, making a wide range of small and large ship classes obsolete.
-Military intervention is attempted in New Aragon. Victoria mistakes the military buildup as an imperialist grand invasion plan, and attacks the army group as it sails to its target. The fleet, caught by surprise and not armed for a situation so deep within Victorian operation zones, is completely destroyed, paving the way for a red invasion of Suevia.
-Fasier is simultaneously invaded. The nuclear bombing of Pamplona occurs in the midst of this attack, sending the Iberian peninsula into chaos. Advances are still made, but the logistical situation is bleak, and entire divisions are breaking rank. Aggarra and most of Wattoka are occupied, but troops sent to Deisea are rebuked with ease after Victorian submarines begin raiding shipping in the Summerset Sea mercilessly, stranding the troops without supplies.
-The royal family is dead, having been killed in the bombing of Pamplona. The crown is currently in dispute, and power shifts to an auxiliary parliament in Barcelona.
-Riots occur throughout the realm, especially Iberia. The people are protesting the sudden degradation of relations with their historic ally Fasier. Being that the economy of Iberia relied on mutual cooperation between the two states, the sudden outbreak of war has obviously not been supported by anybody living there.
-The loss of Paris has resulted in a huge Frankish rebellion. Victorian weapons caches from the last rebellion appear once more, and the region falls to the insurgents. However, this time the rebels have aligned themselves with nationalist ideology, rather than communist.

Medicea Medical Incorporated

-Several Seccian sattelites are turned over to MMI, although the company still lacks the ability to launch new ones.
-Following their tradition of being super weird and generating the world's worst body horrors, MMI creates the world's first artificial brain, which is then incorporated into developments in the realm of electric computers. Thus, the organic computer is born.
-Scotland breaks free, apparently funded largely by Victoria, when a major communist uprising occurs. Surprisingly well armed and trained, the new army marches south into Seccia.
-Following the recent outbreak in Scotland, many Irish previously espousing independence have hushed themselves.
-Massive architectural projects are put into work with experimental buildings and construction techniques in the capital city.
-Frisia is lost to German insurgents.

The Most Serene Republic of Morrowind

-Massive riots are occurring in nearly every major city after the nuclear bombings occurring in Europe. Many are calling for an end to the positive relations Morrowind shares with Victoria, some even calling for war.
-MASA launches the Auriel mission, and successfully lands a man on the moon, also known as "Planet Oz," also known as Masser. The astronauts find that the environment is extremely hazardous, and are eaten to death by local fauna…. and flora. The entire planetoid is claimed for Morrowind.
-Major advances are made into the realm of computers, and the internet is developed by a series of corporations in Iceland sharing data through either direct electronic or satellite connections. The government initiates a major subsidization of the program, and personal computers thus become very cheap.
-A large telescope is put into orbit, known as the Telvanni Space Telescope. The heavens are scanned, and knowledge regarding distant stars is gained, confirming various theories as correct.
-Quarantines are put in place to halt the Finnish Influenza. Airline flights are cancelled, and vaccines are distributed to infected areas. Whether it be thanks to these measures or pure chance, the plague does not spread significantly in areas besides Skyrim.
-Victoria is demanding the Morrowind join the war against the Imperialists.

The Federal Republic of Forseti

-Missile range is increased to "intermediate." Jet propelled aircraft are introduced. Assault rifles are also invented
-The nuclear attack in Denmark has shattered the empire. A series of smaller, tactical missiles are launched at various ports in the region as well, decimating the nation's trade based economy and it's contact with the colonies. Missile silos in Denmark have been destroyed, as well as most of the fleet docked there.
-The bombing of Denmark has obfuscated nearly all attempts to move supplies through the channel or take action outside of the Baltic and North Sea. In spite of this, a missile silo is successfully established in Brasil with great effort and significant luck.
-A space program is launched. Satellites are now in orbit.
-An alliance is struck up with Finland.

I blew it. I was stupid enough to give into the GM's temptations, stupid enough to ignore the fact that Victoria – a nation that grew out of my colonial possessions – was being used as game control for my own personal gain, and stupid enough to get angry at everyone's pressure and leave the nukes in Skyrim out of spite. My only request is that you leave the place names as they are. Much of my involvement in this game came from a personal wish to craft an identity; even though everything's gone to shit and my nation is about to die, I still wish to leave a legacy. Please do not try to convince me to stay; this has been a long time coming, and I feel it would be in everyone's best interest if I hit the road.
