Also shoutout to Fridge for least threatening ultimatum delivered.

you need steamship tech for the dreadnaughts

Okay, I see your game, players. What kind of offer do you want.

See, I told you you could trust me. I know what I'm doing here.

Also thanks for Riga and Moscow. I needed the ports and the capital.

Now I would like to propose a deal to everyone.

I trade you oil and precious metals (including uranium), you trade me your technology. Trains, electronics, hardware, science etc. I'll even give it to you for cheap

PM me if you want in on the oil trade. Any takers?

Vascony is run on pure swashbuckling and religious fanaticism. Oil would just get us dirty.

In my defense, I fulfilled my part of my deal with Kickassia.

Falcon wanted reinforcements against Novgorod and Angmar and he wanted me to send troops to his nation to defend him. I delivered

That's not terrorism, that's business. What happened next simply happened. It's nothing personal

I didn't want you to take over my fucking nation.
At least i benefited in the end.

You didn't want it anyway. It was a really disadvantageous position. Being jammed in between all the other players with absolutely nowhere to go and you managed to make enemies on all sides.

Plus you had just run your economy into the ground and exhausted all your military strength. Your position yielded no useful resources. You were doomed to be overrun by Novgorod in the next turn

I figured you needed a reset and so I gave you one. You should be thanking me.

This thread is about destroying friendships. Didn't you know?

Crimson Locks wrote:

Too seriously.

How can one take being Gods too seriously.

We are building a world here. We are steering the course of generations, placing the foundations of civilizations, forging empires from the plows and wills of a thousand thousand subjects, our items to cast about this board as dust in the wake of a zephyr.

WE ARE GODS.

My apologies for the tardiness. I have been busy with school, studies, and else things.
The next turn will be posted today I assure you.

Turn 11
Political Map
-Victoria invades the Mayan and Aztec nations. Being barely modernized, and resisting the technological change, neither nation was capable of putting up much of a good fight.

-Dunmer Deisea is overtaken with ease. Their navies are now blocked from the Summersets.
-Industrial chemistry has created higher yield explosive devices, which are ideal for large scale mining operations and killing people hidden behind heavy defenses.
-What is technically the world's first aircraft carrier, little more than a long flat deck with a motor, successfully launches a plane specially designed to land on water.
-Airplanes are simplified, and receive more powerful motors. Biplanes are replaced with single-wing monoplanes.

The Most Serene Republic of Syserror

-The steam engine is finally perfected, and Syserror enters the industrial age. Trains are also developed, and railway tracks are laid out connecting major cities and oil fields.
-The concept of interchangeable parts reaches Syserror, increasing industrial efficiency.
-Frontier forts near China are bolstered with additional garrisons.
-The combustion engine is developed, putting a domestic use to all that oil Syserror has been drilling.

The Most Serene Republic of Crimsonia

-Frigates are now being built.
-Experiments in aviation are now being made with gliders.

-Armored cars and railroad technologies are imported.
-Dreadnaught design is advanced upon to construct battleships.
-Biplanes are developed, and the air force grows in size once the aircraft prove their value.
-Major mining operations are begun in northern Scandinavia. Unfortunately, the Scandinavian provinces revolt and claim to defect to Forseti.

-The Philippines are colonized. Conquest of Indochina continues until only China remains to be bordered in the region.
-To congratulate them on their new-found independence, a "party" is thrown in Moldova and Ruthenia.
-War is declared upon Italy. Unable to keep up logistics on two fronts at once, their army falls into full retreat.
-A railway network is constructed throughout Greece.
-Electricity is harnessed and utilized in various devices. The combustion engine is also invented.
-Antiseptics and machine guns are imported from Medicea.
-Opium farms are opened in China. However, import taxes on the stuff makes it difficult to sell in Greece, and the excess product is sold to the Chinese.

The United Kingdom of Vascony

-New ships are being constructed, and a draft is raising military numbers. Swiss mercenaries are hired as well, despite being out of service in Europe for many turns due to the tendency of mercenaries to be less effective than patriots.
-The counteroffensive against Italy is a success. Angman soldiers greet Vasconian troops in northern Italy.
-The Italians are incapable of continuing the fight with their most populous regions captured and their armies defeated. They offer surrender on Vasconian terms.
-The Victorian proposal is met with a referendum which returns popular opinion with landslide majority not to join the colony into the communist collective. Nice try, commies.
-A rail network in Suevia is connected and goes online. Railroad construction follows through in southern France despite the chaos.
-The machine gun is invented, as well as the combustion engine.

-A trade embargo is made against Syserror.
-Green energy is promoted, and continues to spread. Wind farms and hydroelectric dams are cropping up throughout the nation.
-War is declared upon Vascony, and France is invaded. However, Victoria intervenes, and the French rebels are now now aligned with the communists and fighting both Vascony and Medicea.
-Howitzers are developed and now being built.

The Most Serene Republic of Morrowind
Fridge Logic

Religion: Dunmer Pagan/Catholic

Army:[===|==]
Musket, Machinegun, Armored Car, Cavalry, Howitzer
Navy:[===|==]
Frigate, Schooner, Dreadnaught

-Major operations in the Summerset Sea are forced to be cancelled due to Fasien invasion of Deisean bases critical to military integrity in the region.
-Brasil is attacked. The local colonials are having a difficult time supplying their soldiers with munitions due to distance from Vascony and wartime strains.
-Armored cars are now being built and utilized extensively in keeping up the mobility in Brasil.
-Akavir continues to stagnate due to the Vasconian blockade, now aided further by Fasien control over the Summerset Sea. Attempts are made by the colonists to relocate or establish a new base, but it fails.
-Attempts to drill into the ocean are seen as preposterous.
-A group of "traders" arrive in Tokyo harbor with a dreadnaught. The Japanese are thoroughly frightened, and open their borders to the rest of the world.
-The offer to purchase Sakhalin is taken as an insult. The Japanese refuse.
-Assembly line production is now in operation.
-Electrical devices are imported.
-Norway is renamed Skyrim, probably for a good reason I'm sure.

-Sweden defects from Seccia, although acceptance of their allegiance has not occurred yet.

The Empire of China
Captain Douglas J Falcon

Culture: Chinese (Mandarin)

Army:[===|==]
Musket, Cavalry, Howitzer
Navy:[===|==]

-Galleons are now being built.
-The regions northwest of Manchuria are settled.
-Howitzers are invented.
-A sham of a steam engine is created, but it is a step in the right direction.
-Korea is invaded and annexed.
-Opium farms are appearing throughout the south, funded by Angmen entrepreneurs. They are unable to bring the product back to their home country, and instead opt to sell it to the locals. China is rapidly becoming addicted, driving down productivity and destroying the agricultural economy.
-For some reason, China also adopted the national flag of Kickassia. I'm not sure why, but they did.

An official Message from the Empire of China to the Noble Republic of Angmar
Get your fucking Opium out of here or I will force it out.
And BSOD, please don't invade. I want to keep peaceful relations with you.

Not attack him, that's what.
A Message from the Empire of China to the Federal Republic of Forseti
Because I want to promote trade, I shall gift you Hong Kong.
I promise, I won't backstab you.

@Syndic

Will there be a separate map for Planet Oz once we inevitably scramble into a space race towards it?

@Falcon

I wasn't going to attack you. I've got bigger priorities than conquest right now. If anything, I was concerned what your intention was. But thank you for asking nicely

[edit]

One more thing. I have a polite request for you too. If you are going to expand, can you expand south? Persia is my ally and I would prefer it be left intact please. Thanks

@RPP

Why would you embargo my trade? What purpose could that possibly serve?

I'm afraid of you, and don't want to have any relations negative or positive.

Because it's awesome, that's why.

Maybe we wouldn't have Cancer if someone didn't invent Radiology.

@RPP

You don't need to be afraid of me. Syserror holds a neutral stance to Medicia and I'm not going all the way through Crimsonia and Forseti just to start shit with the British.

Besides, I want to buy some cancer cures and other tech off you. If you cooperate with me, I'll really like you and then you especially don't need to be afraid of me. Now be a good sport and reopen trade

Also heres a protip: Embago'ing trade is not how you remain neutral with someone. You are supposed to do things that don't get peoples attention if you want to be neutral

Yeah, psh.
Why would anyone invent radiology.

@BSoD: I understand that logic, but I'd also like to keep a lot of other players off my back, and quite frankly there are a lot of people who would be a bit ticked with me if I started powering you up with high level tech. So how about this: If for the next 2-3 turns, you don't initiate any wars,
I'll stop being afraid and open up trade again.

@RPP

Oh come on. I haven't declared an act of war since turn 7. The Angmar invasion was Kickassian with only Syserrene support, Novgorod was invaded in self defense and Kickassia defected to me after its leadership collapsed from the Novgorod invasion

Why don't you embargo trade on the nations actively destroying other nations right now.

Ah, well, you see, we're going to have a little bit of a problem with this, you know, because you invaded me and caused half of my nation to secede.
But, you know, I'm willing to live and let live.
The only problem is, once you withdraw from my territory (No peace unless you don't.) You've forced me to have to invade and seize a whole nation all over again.
So, in compensation, I'm asking for Brittany or the Cure for Cancer up front right now. Seeing as I gave you Brittany as a freebie, I'm pretty sure you owe me, RPP.
