I have space lazors and nukes Doc. So does America. I think quite alot of other countires have nukes as well. And Russia has none. Hmmm…..

You can still have your dance contest. There will just be about 100 less nations attending.

Nukes can't travel to other planets, and your lazors can only make five foot wide beams that only last for five minutes. Plus, I nuked your nation, your economy should be collapsed.

Oh well. My hopes for a united Africa and a funky fresh global dance contest have been shattered, but it's just a game, and I look forward to the next one.

I've got a lot to say, but this is the only post I think I need to address directly.

Nepal did very little themselves. Nepal organized a coalition of Nepalese, Tibetan, Uyghur, Turkic, and various other groups to band together to drive you out of central Asia. Due to you spreading yourself too thin against external enemies, and the general history of human rights abuses against your own people, you essentially imploded. No official numbers exist of course, but Nepal probably supplied less than 20% of the troops involved in the military action in western (formerly) China, with the lion's share coming from Turkic central Asia and your own citizenry. The former government of Nepal offered you a chance to stop the violence earlier, but you declined.

The interim government of Sagarmatha will be working (1) to keep Chinese military (whatever remains) contained in eastern China, (2) to set up the boundary lines and governments of two new countries (Sagarmatha in the south and Uyghuristan in the north, roughly divided along the 35th parallel), and (3) using whatever economic and scientific machinery China has left behind to research heavily in fighting radiation and radiation sickness.

Although central Asia, southern Africa, and western Australia seem from the map to be "cleaner" than most of the world, I think we're pretty much all in this mess together.

-Further effects of the nuclear armageddon settle in, and continued use of nuclear arms has exacerbated the situation. This summer is colder than last winter, and the coming winter is expected to be even more harsh. Surface freshwater freezes in place, creating glaciers where there were once lakes and rivers. The ice caps are expanding as sea water freezes up, and icebergs are becoming a constant hazard for places as far south as Morocco. Massive tornados rip through the American midwest, and two typhoons have mutilated the war torn Indonesia. Light snowfall across Texas, Egypt, and Hawaii are signs of the days to come.
-Millions more have died off, and the earth's present population is to be estimated at aproximately 1.8 billion.

-Switzerland remainds relatively unaffected by the nuclear devestation, as its denizens tunnel deeper underground. 90% of the Swiss now live in the National Redoubt.
-Attempts to land on Mars proove fatal, due to fire from the American and English space lazors.
-Drilling for water on the moon is attempted, but turns up nothing, as there is little to no water under the surface. Perma-dark craters, however, show promise for small water sources, and the Swiss begin mining for ice there.

Russo-Martian Federation – Turquiose – RussianFedora

-The few thousand people living on Mars begin to settle in for the construction of a new nation. However, just as they begin to get comfortable in their new and hostile surroundings, beams of energy decend from the sky. Mercilessly, every 10 hours or so, a new ray of light rips through the atmosphere down to the surface, flicking about from one location to the next, frying anything caught inside of it. The Russian base is eradicated in the begining, and refugees pour out of the camp to take refuge in the hills on their own. Without water or food, hundreds starve, and hundreds more are discovered and fried to death by the sky beams. Russia's political, economic, and military hold over the region collapses as its citizens disperse over the planet's surface to escape the mysterious coordinated death from above.
-RussianFedora is removed from this round for being defeated

-Frozenpwn is removed from the round for being defeated and not sending a PM.

-Russia is bombed. Theories that thousand mile radiation would ensue from attacking empty missile silos proves false.
-Research into radiation-proof construction has begun.
-Those affected by radiation poisoning are pushed into the army. All of them die within the first few days of boot camp. The belief that these people are stronger than the average non-irradated peron is false.
-The invasion of Canada completely fails as the divisions there are frozen stuck and annihilated.
-Rebels in Ireland seize the nation and oust the Spanish.

-Construction of the lunar colony is complete, and England begins to evacuate people to it.
-The nanotech research is complete, and the project involving it will soon be put into action.
-Nuclear weapons are launched towards Russia, in coroboration with the United States' attack.
-The Earth Based Space Lazor is aimed at Mars and, coordinating with the United States, blasts apart the obvious Russian facilities and attacks any suspected movement.
-The "Pheonix Wright Acts" are repealed, and the police state is recinded. Charlie Brooker moves his operations to the moon, and continues to broadcast on the BBC from there.
-For some reason, the British beleive they have and attempt to use energy shields to defend their moon colonies. They don't have this tech, and therefor cannot do that.

USA – Yellow – Dane

-A nuclear counterstrike is launched upon Russia, killing 99% of urban Russians, and destroying the life sustainability in most of the nation.
-Space Laser battery fire pounds down upon the Martian surface, aiming for any signs of movement that can be detected. These are mostly dust devils and small tornadoes, but for certain it has killed a large percentage of the Russo-Martian colonists.

-Vietnam's intellectual ability crumbles with the death of most of their science teams in the nuclear attacks, and the massive ongoing cost of maintaing the military sapping funds from all technilogical progress.
-Indonesia collapses and surrenders to Vietnam.
-The addition of SingSong funds has kept the Vietnam economy from total destruction.

Scandinavia – Indigo – CjayS

-Scandinavia's very few blast sites are vacated, and radiated regions are mostly quaranteened.
-Baltic undersea colonies have recently swelled into massive bubble cities due to evacuation from the irradiated surface.
-Radiation cleanup is, for the most part, complete. All rubble has been successfully burried or quaranteened. Weather-imported radiation is unavoidable, however, and atomic rain continues to harm the environment and he people.

-A new company called "Vault-Tec" has risen to aid and shelter those suffering from fallout. A little late for this, they begin to construct nuclear bunkers as well.

-Cloning research is complete.

-Hundreds pile into rockets and blast off to the moon colonies, and Germany's communist government flees as well. Commands for the remaining Germans on earth to flee to Zambia are completely ignored.

-Genetic engineering research has started to focus on radiation resistance.

-Being the singular powerful entity on earth not at all effected by the nuclear attacks in any direct way, SingSong Corp. has begun to monopolize essentially every market on the globe. Morally corrupt lower executives begin to dabble in the growing global slave market, and small, privately owned Singaporean planations and mines are springing up around the globe, mostly on the east african coastline.
-Bhutan is offered annexation, but the lack of response leads SingSong to beleive that everyone there is too dead to pick up the phone.
-Chinese and vietnamese state assets are purchased en masse to fuel the crumbling economies in both states.
-Radiation Resistance research has begun. SingSong's long head start in this line has led to nearly immediate results, and cybernetic implants that reverse and prevent radioactive decay have been installed to the local market.
-More and more "volunteers" sign up for radiation poisoning research.

-The capital is moved to Brasilia. Attempts to construct a pony themed monument for those lost in the nuclear attack fails due to a lack of funding.

Official Statement from The North African Lunar Colonies

Seeing as how Earth may take awhile to clean up and there are millions of citizens still stranded there, North Africa proposes an alliance for building a large international space station, or several, whichever is more feasible. The end result would look a little something like this. Since many of the surviving nations have little left of their economy, it will take several of us to make this possible. We are confident that the people of Earth will live long and prosper.

SLAVÉ would like to join North Africa in the ISS project.

Italy would also like to join in on this project.

Destroying Russia is a useless endeavor. Barely anyone is left on Russia anyway, and whoever is died in the process of nuclear-cleansing it. You only added to the radiation total on earth, and only made cleanup problems worse. But, I have one more wish before I say farewell and continue tending to the few people left on Mars: Stop killing my citizens with lazors. They did not do anything wrong, and yet you are making things worse on innocent civilians. Stop attacking my people and I will peacefully tend to my colonies and disappear from your sight.

You seriously think that you could have afforded to send enough of the 100 million or so Russians to Mars that you can claim that "barely anyone is left on Russia"? I want what you smoke.

No seriously. I am getting tired of people sending their entire population off to another planet. Its not feasible. If you want numbers, here's what I would say happened: Russia launched roughly six thousand people to Mars, only two thousand landed alive, and only four hundred survived the laser attacks, most of whom are spread out too thin to organize a survival effort, and all of whom are definitely dead once supplies run out, which should be any day next turn. The other nations have not yet reached 1000 citizens in space each. Less than a single percent of all humans in this game are in space.

You all might survive the end of the earth, perhaps for a few generations, but a space empire is, at this moment and probably forever, out of the question. Right now your priority should be survival, and I think you stand a hell of a lot better chance at doing so on Earth.
