Uh, guys? That article just said it's possible for there to be a Korra movie. Nothing was confirmed in that article.

…finally good to be able to visit this thread again, massive derailing aren't fun to anyone but the few people involved :|

Even the hope of a movie is awesome and gives us lots to talk about. (MORE IMPORTANTLY, WHY WOULD THEY MAKE A SEQUEL TO THE SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS MOVIE IF SPONGEBOB NOW SUCKS!? Hillenburg isn't even there anymore. We all know how bad it is now.)

I wonder if the movie will be vital to the story, probably not. It'll be cool if the show references to it though. I especially wonder what would it be all about. I bet Korra would go Avatar State in the movie, and the villain would be so friggin epic he could toe-to-toe with Korra even when she's bending every element trying to land a blow on him. I think it's kinda too early to be having an all-out war in the middle of Republic City again, I doubt they're already done rebuilding the city. Unless of course the movie takes place after Season 2 (of course there will be a big war, you can't have a movie based off of a show without a grand-scale battle. Without an epic battle, it'll just be an episode that drags on for too long.)

My hope is that they've kept a list of things that they would like to do, but could not do because of time or money, and that this list is being used as an outline for the plot. What's the point of making a film adaptation if you're not going to use it as an opportunity to make an already good thing even more awesome?

Profits.

It's really sad, too, because the first movie was both good, and supposed to be the end of Spongebob.

Now the only thing missing is a Korra video game.

DON'T YOU DARE JINX IT

THERE HASN'T BEEN A GOOD A:TLA GAME TO DATE AND I DON'T WANT THE SAME FATE TO HAPPEN TO OUR PRECIOUS KORRA

It'll be the easiest 1000 achievement points since the last Avatar game.

There hasn't been a good A:TLA movie either, but we're still pretty hyped about the upcoming animated movie, aren't we?

An LoK game would just be a dating sim.

Don't be surprised. What sane person wouldn't want a piece of this.

Idono, there were some pretty good A:TLA indie games…

Speaking of the animated movie that's going to come out it makes me wonder who the antagonists are going to be. Who do you think they might be? And why.

But anyway, has anyone been reading that comic that's supposed to fill in what happened after the first series? I've heard a bit about it, but haven't read it yet. Thoughts?

Yeah, I have. It doesn't really get much done in it though. Everything in the three books that you have to buy separately could be done in one, two at most, episodes.

Since this thread has become not exclusive to Legend of Korra and also discusses the original series and the movie, I'd say it's in need of a rename.

To celebrate; have a cool alternate universe wallpaper -

the avatar games are bad it can be a good concept for a video game but nick keeps giving to to people, who don't know how to make a game or gives them a very small budget

Ok. So they showed us a Legend of Korra commercial in the Netherlands. And the translation becomes a little bit confusing. In A:TLA they called 'earthbenders' for example 'aardemeesters', which is 'earthmasters' in English. Same counts for the other elements. In the LOK commercial, they called it 'aardebender', which IS 'earthbender', only the word 'aarde' is Dutch (same counts for the other elements).

tl;dr version: We just need English episodes with Dutch subtitles

O wait, EDIT. It was the announcer of the commercial who said it. So I HOPE they fix it in the show

:C

I don't think I like being flipped off by Toph like that.

I do like the blinders though. They make a lot of sense: she can't see anyway, but an eye injury in a fight could still make her too hurt to continue, and it could get infected. The blinders would keep this from happening.

What's your favorite funniest moment from TLA/LoK?
Like alot of people, I'd probably have to go with the cactus scene from TLA.

Season 1:

Katara: You can't keep us here. Let us leave.
King Bumi: Lettuce leaf?

Season 2:

Jet: Here's the deal. I hear the Captain's eating like a king, while us refugees have to feed off his scraps. Doesn't seem fair, does it?
Iroh: What sort of "king" is he eating like?
Jet: The fat, happy kind.

Season 3:

Nightmares and Daydreams. And if the whole episode doesn't count, it's Aang in therapy with Wang Fire. "Want to try screaming into this pillow?"

Just the less known I came up with

Speaking of Cabbage Corp.

How did a company go from selling cabbages to selling inexpensive cars named after cabbages?

Hey guys, you all know about that web series Extra Credits, right? (Because if not, the SHAME ON YOU!) Well, one of the guys from it just took part in a podcast about the first Avatar series.

For me it's between Wang Fire, the time when Zuko walked in on Sokka in The Southern Raiders, and this

Ok. Back here I think they show us the last episode of the first series tomorrow, followed by an Avatar weekend, probably showing us ALL the episodes of the first series again, which they did the last few months every day. Sunday evening, they start with the first Legend of Korra episode. Dubbed (may Aang help us all)

Anyway, Avatar Weekend. yay :DD

That sounds so frikin awesome, Erwin

Judging by the words in that post, I can see you don't live in Holland ;).
The only good thing they did is by airing the Invasion and the Eclips before the USA did, which came without a warning, so that I missed the Invasion. I mean, NOBODY probably followed the English episodes, and knew that they couldn't POSSIBLY air the Day of Black Sun before America did >:(

But alas, the voiceactors are decent. We have limited voice actors, so I think I heard Aangs voice on a radio commercial and Sokkas voice is also the voice of Rex in Generation Rex

This weekend is pretty nice. When it was a break between episodes, they showed us a clip of Mike and Bryan discussing the new Korra serie. In English, subbed AND English voices for the characters. Perhaps it turns out to be really good

Anyway, getting this back to Avatar stuff, has anyone else seen any translations of the show? Are they generally good? What kind of stuff do they get wrong?

The Spanish dub had to change Zuko's name because everyone confused him for a beverage mix.
